Yessssss!
I don’t have to go to office tomorrow wheeeee
I have some assignment to do out of office so that means I can go out whenever I want (1 pm).
This will be my first day off in two weeks!
Last Friday I went alllll the way to Cyberjaya to Limkokwing and MMU to take pictures and do some student interviews and then I thought I’m done with and went home, then my boss called me up and said they needed the interviews now so I had to go back up to Damansara to give it to them and explain all the data so I only got home at 10pm T________T
Then I had to wake up early on Saturday and Sunday because I was working under Carlsberg (beer girl wtf). And even though all I had to do was sit there for 9 hours or so and wait for people to come up to me, it is damn tiring ok what do you know!
Firstly I couldn’t even go through the front entrance of Giant, I had to walk all the way to the back and go in thru the employee entrance like some smuggled immigrant wtf. And I was carrying a suitcase with all the free gifts inside which weighed as much as my luggage from Japan. And then got scolded by the stupid security guards for bringing a suitcase well what am I supposed to do! Carry all the heavy stuff in my arms ar at least I can pull the suitcase behind me on wheels!
They said I had to have a permission letter to bring in so much stock. So I just wrote a letter on the spot telling them to give me permission to bring in the stuff and then I signed it myself wtf. What’s the point you tell me. Bureaucracy wtf.
Oh but the good thing about work on Sunday is that without my knowledge it must have been declared Give-Audrey-and-Tracy-free-food Day! (Tracy is the other Carlsberg girl)
First Sze Jiann came to bring me Macdonalds McValue Meal Nuggets wtf and Pocari Sweat cos I had diarrhea.
Then these two foreigners (I think Burmese or something) who worked in a restaurant came with their bottlecaps to redeem stuff from our booth, and I think they felt sorry for me counting their hundreds of caps by myself so they bought me a grape soda T_________T I am so touched they don’t even know me and I’m not even their fellow countryman wtf plus it’s not like they have money to spare T____________T
Then Tracy went roaming around the supermarket and came back with lots of free food samples like Indomie and pasta and porridge! And the Vitagen, fresh milk and Nescafe girls were so nice too they came by with lots of cups of milk and coffee!
And the Nescafe guy bought us ice-cream too! And also one of the guys from Ambank bought me two yucky bread-cake hybrids but it’s the thought that counts.
Another reason why I was so tired was because the Ambank ah bengs kept talking to me in Cantonese and as everyone knows, my Cantonese sucks, so I spent like 9 hours conversing in Cantonese how tired do you think that makes me! (Actually I think with more practice my command would be quite okay lor I understand most of the words what. By the end of it I was quite impressed with myself wtf take that, Mummy & Yeff)
Anyway my point is you should always open yourself up to new experiences. I think most people (including me) would be very lazy to layan ah bengs who try to chat up girl. And I did want to not talk to them and read Tracy’s book but I didn’t want to be rude.
It’s interesting to take a peek into people whose lives are so different from mine. First of all, they speak only Cantonese while I only speak English. Then the clubs we go to also different.. they go to like Thai Bar wtf or Ruums which I would never step into (OK la I went to Ruums once but that’s because got free stuff wtf)
Oh ya the Ambank guys were calling one of them “Diploma” just cos he had a diploma which makes him the highest educated of all of them. To think that all my friends are doing degrees and some are even going for their Masters now. I dunno, it’s just hard to imagine stopping school after Form 5 or even Standard 6 and going to work from there.
And I overheard them talking about going swimming next week. If any of us went swimming it’d be at some country club like Saujana or Holiday Villa right. But they talked about going to the pool at MPSJ (city council).
It just made me think a little, that’s all. Don’t look down on people who happen to have been born with less opportunities than yourself. Unless they rob you or something la wtf.
Me and Tracy. We cut out the Ambank guy just because wtf.
