Chokotto Love

Okay I have thought deep and hard about my future.

And I have come up with… NOTHING wtf.

Grad school is not an option now although I might go back to school later on.

I don’t even know where I want to BE.

I don’t think I want to settle down in the States, but since I have OPT I should try to work for at least a year here before looking somewhere else.

New York would be a great experience – winter also never mind, Imma brave it.  Global warming hurry up la WTF.

Boston would be familiar with a lot of friends.   But kind of boring with terrible winters.

San Fransisco would be wonderful!  I don’t know anything about job prospects there yet though, all I know is I’ve been there twice and I loved it.

Actually anywhere in California would be nice because of the weather wtf.

But I don’t have much confidence in landing a job here; so I’m also looking at other places.

Canada? A lot of companies in Toronto, and Leroy is there too which is a plus point but I think I’ll go crazy when it comes to winter wtf.

I love Vancouver, but from what I’ve heard there isn’t THAT many job prospects.  Plus I have an American degree, not a Canadian one, so I don’t know how much that will endear me to immigration officers/employers wtf.

And Japan! T______T I so so so want to go back and live there but again, I’m not sure non-Japanese are very welcome in the corporate world.  Especially if your Japanese is not flawless.

Hong Kong and Singapore are options too, but as yet I have no contacts or anything with anyone there, although it’s probably easier for me to get into Singapore.

Malaysia is not an option yet because I know that if I come back to Malaysia and take a job there, I will most likely get complacent and lazy and I would never get back out of the country.

I will eventually return to Malaysia but not now.  I want to see what I can do first outside.

I am so so so scared T_________T

Us in a manga kissaten (making names up) hard at work.  Actually Angela was reading up on GRE and I was reading Harry Potter #7 WTF ya I’m slow and kiamsiap cos I made Jam send a downloaded version to me wtf.  Everything free is good wtf.

aud: ya /shy why you compare me to Latat *sad wtf no la latat very baik wtf

  • why u cut me off for that bipolar disorder face ? but speakin of that hahahHAHAhaha .. we shud take that kind of pic w/ annie too !

aud: cos if ur there it doesn’t really look like im bipolar! YA HAHAHAHAHA U SO MEAN HAHAHAHAH she don’t even have to do anything special hahahahahaha

  • Wow, that last picture? Where is that? So I can avoid going there… =P

For your future, at least in the US, I’d pick New York or LA. Both cities are stylish and there’s lots to do. I wouldn’t choose San Francisco; it’s a nice city to visit but once you live here, you have to deal with lots of urban maladies. Wastful gubment, bums, whoops i mean “homeless”, ridiculously high cost of living (while not getting much in return) and a level of filth in some parts that rivals Chinese cities (excluding HKG, of cors).

I know what I’m talking about, I’m a San Francisco native and curently still living there. Maybe you should do a grand tour after you graduate and spend some time in each city…twas fun and think of all the bipolar pix u can take!

aud: haha it was in a historical prison in japan! i wish i could do a grand tour! but no money 🙁 i heard LA is really good to live in but how are the job prospects there though?

  • your celebrity pose is very suggestive WTF. turns me on wtf wtf.

ya la jammie tagged me as well but hell will freeze over before i expose ugly pictures of myself to the world

aud: you know you like it baybeh WTF. no what you can just take cute pics of yourself and give them creative names

  • i have some connections all over US, london, shanghai, HKG and SG. however what are you studying? most of my connections are in the tech, financials and manufacturing.
as for having an american degree working in canada. it is not a problem!! companies in canada dont hiring those with american degrees.
take your time to figure it out. but since you dont have a ride, NYC would fit best because you have tons of public transportation.
    anwya, good luck…

aud: haha my major is asian studies >< im looking for something in fashion or communications advertising etc. yea i've heard that about canadian companies too... is it really true? i don't think having a ride or not should be a factor...cos obviously if im working in the states and i need a car i would get one right.

  • nyc damn fun!! u’ll like it there..i think. and why u steal my motto wtf

aud: ya nyc is nice…but i dunno la maybe too hectic wtf. and no la never steal everyone knows its yours /boo

  • haha..you look cute in the ‘getting-tickled’ pic. 🙂 I don’t think I’ve ever seen Angie in a picture that is “not-so-pretty”…she always looks perfect. 🙂

aud: ya she’s the most photogenic person i know /boo

  • I taught i am the only one worry what to do after going to graduate this year august. Look like u also worry. Sigh… it is kinda of pathetic to think after graduate don’t know what to do. All my classmates got plan except me… 🙁

aud: ooh where are u studying? good luck!

  • Hi babe, seriously i think New York, New York is a Fab place to begin your corporate working life in.. Just one year and i guess it’s fine ya…
Anyhow, like my cousin. He grad from UK.. In Kl he got offered 8krm but in SG he is comfortably earning near 7k now until he is Not willing to go back to KL.. WTF right.. LOL… Big diff…
In SG, bosses prefer exprienced worker and best is if you know everything and can work independently… Pay wise can be high for those off shore company. Why dont you just a Japanese off shore company in SG and those kind that require you to travel like a few times a year to Japan for meeting.. Best right.. Hehehe…

Good luck to you my dear… i am sure you will find a job u really love…

“When you find a job that you enjoy, you are NOT working anymore cause you are enjoying your life everyday”…. Most important is that you really love what you are doing…

    Regards,
    Shundy..

    Have a nice weekend…

aud: thanks for your advice! talk to u soon:)

  • Don’t go back to Malaysia…… I live in SF for 11 years. I love it, it’s a city for singles, not family. It fulls of liberals, green people, etc. More job opportunity. I got a job like that(snapped fingers)after graduated from college 9 years ago. Last year, I changed job twice! I worked in KL before for 3 years and I hated it so much. Working in SF, I can learn a lot about my profession(interior architecture & design) more closely compare to other states. SF has tough public rules. What is your field again? Abraxis is right about some negative things that SF has. But there is a lot of good things too. It’s a place for creative people for sure. I have known many artists, musicians, designers. Email me if you want to chat more.

aud: i will definitely email you! thanks!

  • Come Singapore! You know me what =.= and I’m in sg XD

.. for at least this year anyway heh.

aud: haha no i mean contacts as in people who can hook me up with jobs:D ya i know you are there so if i go i wont be scared of having no friends:D

  • Well, I was told there were job opportunities and I applied. but then my field is very random(I am a podiatrist) and there is no training locally.. come come HK, then I have shopping buddy and dont have to face the scowls of the boys who have to accompany me!

aud: haha do u know wht kind of job opportunities are abundant though?

  • haha.. oops! i think i meant canadian companies do not mind hiring those with american degree….
    sorry for the confusion..
fashion? hmm… the only person i know who works in that industry is already back in malaysia. she used to have her own clothing line in isetan… but i am not sure whether she is still in that industry now.
i have another friend who works in nyc who is kinda in that industry, but she is in manufacturing… meaning she source clothing for companies in the states from china. her customers are like macy’s, gap and etc…
if you are really interested, i could ask… let me know

aud: could you! i’d love to talk to her:)

  • シンガポールは悪くないよ、東京とほぼ変わんないから、色んな意味で(笑)とにかく、マレーシヤは止めた方がいいと思います!!

    aud: じゃあ、どこがいいかな?T3T

  • oh wow. thanks! i’m so looking forward to reading harry potter! haha
    neoyjun@hotmail.com

    aud: added you on msn!

  • I dunno which is the best place either, that’s why I’m not settling down yet mwahaha i wanna move from country to country, I’m a nomad by nature (-___-) maybe I shud join a circus instead mwahahah. But S’pore is not bad, dun plan to stay here for long tho, it’s just a stepping board for me afterall. If you are okay with the States maybe you should try there first. I REGRET FOR LEAVING CONNECTICUT. can’t stand the suburb but I shud hav persevere shytz

  • alright, i will give her a call… and maybe give her number to you. so wait patiently. cool?
fangz… haha… urbs are alright because it is away from the hustle and bustle, just have to get use to. or should i say, liking the urbs come with age.. haha..

  • Welcome back to Asia. SG would be nice since its nearer to home but yet its not so near. Either cities will make a great choice. Cheers!

  • LA? Fun place, great cheap food, but you’ll need a car.

Fashion? NYC without a doubt. Have you looked into grad school? FIT (www.fitnyc.edu) has a good program if you want to jump into the fashion industry.

  • study at UKM … 🙂
