Fuck la I just wasted 10 bucks on the stupidest pair of shorts in the world :((((((
I just got back from Singapore this evening and before that I was in Far East Plaza with Wombeh and I saw this damn nice pair of shorts which were only going for $10!!
The sales assistant told me no trying allowed and I was totally fine with it because I hate trying on clothes anyway so I bought it.
The shorts quite nice wan! Like faded denim with vintage-y looking lace on the back pocket and zippers down the sides.
So I faster bought it.
Then I came home and tried it on.
And realized that the zippers are just zipper tracks WTF.
No zip WTF.
I show you what I mean.
The front.
Quite normal except I just realized that one short leg is longer than the other WTF FTS la!!!!
Lace also looks quite nice right.
But wait for the finale ok wtf.
Look at this!!!!
Tell me this does not scream hoe bag.
Why would anyone want splits down the sides of their shorts!!!!
And why would anyone even buy these kind of shorts!!! (besides me T_________T)
No way out some more!
Want to add my own zipper also cannot. At the bottom of the zipper tracks already there is stitching to I dunno keep the edges together (ie totally useless)
Want to add safety pins to seal up the splits (like Suet suggested) also cannot because the hems are different lengths T_____T
And worst when I sat down in the shorts I heard a snapping sound -____- The thread stitching it together broke a bit so the gap is bigger wtf but it’s still sewn up T________T
This will teach me to buy things in ten seconds T_________T
But not to give up 10 dollar things because I am Chinese like that nyehehe wtf.
update: a lot of people told me to fix on a real zip. but right it’ll be too tight lor if I really zip it up! but then one of my readers said i can sew on extra cloth to the zipper so smart!! <3

eh can take out the entire zipper and put new one. go to a tailor and ask! im pretty sure can! and then just cut the other side so shorter wtf

actually you can take out the zipper & replace it with a functional one!! it can be done!! those powerful tailor/seamstress will be able to do it!!

So now the pants is no longer $10 since you will have to send it to the tailor to remove the zip and do other neccessary alteration to make it a more presentable shorts. Do something about it. It’ll be nice to use ur creativity on that shorts. After all, u wont wear this out, so why not try to be creative. =)

Audrey, u can get a taylor or even ur mum, or fren or whoever tat knew sewing to replace a new zip for u..the end stitching u can jus ignore and replace with a closely length of zip..and tadaaa..its gonna be a “wearable” shorts liao =D

Hey I have a suggestion. Why don’t you add a layer of cloth across the zip at the inner sides of the pants. Then on the outer, you poke holes parallel to each other on each sides of the zip, get a while lace ribbon, tie them up shoe-laces-style.At the bottom of it you can tie up a cute ribbon!
