Redemption to Mummy Ooi and my skin

A few months ago Wafu asked me if I wanted to buy Hada Labo products with her and even pushed a brochure at me.

I’d never heard about Hada Labo so I went “oh ok” and promptly forgot about it in true Aud fashion. Then a while back my mother was talking about skincare products in true Mummy Ooi fashion and she mentioned Hada Labo. She was very excited about Hada Labo and was dying to try some of their products.

I said “eh I think Wafu told me about it before but I didn’t know what brand that was so I didn’t do anything.”

And I got a scolding for not telling her or asking if she wanted to buy some. *wears cone of shame

But now I have my very own bottle of Hada Labo’s Super Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizing Lotion to test and review!!! *redeems self in eyes of Mummy Ooi

I was in Singapore this weekend so I brought it along with me to test it out.

I read up on it already. Hada Labo represents a lifestyle of simplicity yet perfection so they make sure to leave out all unnecessary additives, fragrances or coloring. Plus Hada Labo is produced in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment, under strict guidelines to ensure quality and effectiveness in their products.

My skin usually goes crazy when I’m on trips – maybe because of the upturned schedule or maybe cos I don’t drink enough water when I’m on holiday wtf so I figured it was the best time to test if it was really as moisturizing as they said and if it really did preserve and lock in my skin’s moisture.

Btw this was my side of the bathroom..

And this was Wombeh’s *cricket sound chit chit

Plastic bag to store his toothbrush and shaver ahahahaha!

Ok so I woke up and faster took out and unwrapped my Hada Labo!

The Super Hyaluronic Acid Moisturising Lotion is meant to be used in place of your usual toner – after cleansing and before you moisturize. Because of its ability to lock in moisture and preserve the optimum moisture level for your skin it’s supposed to add on to your usual routine to make sure your skin is well moisturized (this is for the future before you start to age ok dry skin is the biggest factor in people getting wrinkles wtf)

There’s no alcohol, fragrances or any additives so if you have sensitive skin it should be okay for you!

Wah the statistics so power sounds like the world birth rate or something!

Ok so I washed my face with my normal cleanser.

(photo totally unedited)

As you can see, my face is abit on the dry side and for some reason right after I wash my face I look damn pale fml.

And yea I don’t have eyebrows double fml.

(head hair already so thin what more eyebrow hair T3T)

My mother told me that she’d heard the lotion was gel like but when I looked through the bottle it totally looked like normal liquid to me.

But actually it’s like a cross between gel and liquid dunno how to explain! It’s too watery to be gel but it’s like there’s more surface tension to the liquid than water so it stays “together” more WTF god I suck at explaining things.

Dripped like a 20 cent coin sized puddle on my palm. Can you see it! I used a “I can do it” sticker to indicate where it is also because yes Hada Labo can do it wtf.

This is right after I patted the lotion onto my face. It goes on watery and slippery but after a few seconds of patting it gets a bit stickier and absorbs into my face really well.

(no photo editing either)

(I didn’t even smile in this photo ok! You know how people are always looking glum in their Before pohotos and smiling in their After ones?? Of course la! A smile always makes you more attractive what. So I didn’t smile in this one so you can focus on my skin wtf)

There is a big difference! Before I put on the lotion my face was quite pale and sallow. But after I put it on immediately my face became brighter and it looked more supple too.

Btw I think I poured out too much I think the most you need is 3-4 drops already cos a little bit goes a long way with Hada Labo.

I used the remaining lotion on my neck wtf.

After the lotion I put on my usual moisturizer and sunblock.

And the interesting thing was, usually when I put on my sunblock it doesn’t really go on easy. I have to rub my face quite hard wtf to get the sunblock to spread over my skin. I always thought it’s because sunblock is stickier than other skin products.

But this time when I put on my sunblock it glided on easily! I think because my skin was so moisturized that it became smoother and products just went on easier.

I can haz eyebrows.

Then makeup as usual

Seriously I’m very very happy with this. It’s very inexpensive too I think you can get it for RM40+ at all Guardian pharmacies!

(good to know because I have a feeling Mummy Ooi is gonna take mine)

You can go to Hada Labo for more info 🙂
