I’m in Singapore now stuck for a overnight transit *dark
The problem with United (which is usually the cheapest flight Mummy Ooi can find) is that they don’t fly to KL so I always have to overnight in Changi’s transit hotel by myself wuwuw T____T
But at least this time I got the transit hotel room with the connecting toilet wtf last time I was too cheapskate so I got the most inexpensive room and I had to walk like 5 minutes to the bathroom to shower wtf.
Ok going to look for the hotel now. Just logged in because I missed my blog *caresses
P/S:
All airlines should seat all families with young children and babies together and install some kind of soundproof glass casing there lor! And then charge less for the unfortunate passengers sitting near them!
I took 3 flights to get to Singapore and every single time I was sitting in front of some bawling brat!
Blood pressure so high I wanted so badly to turn around and sock them one wtf.
Worst part was I could totally tell one or two of them were just crying for fuck’s sake! Just to get attention or what cos you can tell by their tone la that they weren’t really unhappy they were just wailing for no reason! Some more can wail one time then pause cos I think the mother successfully distracted them for 2 seconds then when they get bored, resume wailing.
If my kid is like that I will abandon it wtf.
(serious ok last time if me or Ooib dared throw tantrum in public Fat Her would just walk away. It sure scared us into submission wtf)

parents nowadays… spoil d kids too much!
My dear, You’re too quick to judge. When you become a mother, you’ll know how difficult it is. Babies are especially hard to control on planes and sometimes no matter what you do, you won’t be able to stop them from crying. And us mothers are afraid of pissing off other passengers too, but do we have a choice? We do not want to sit near people who hates babies / kids crying too.
Chill okay?
@WenWen88: i don’t think aud mentioned that it was a baby. a BABY is probably understandable. but what i understand from this is that it wasn’t a baby, but rather, a child/kid. that is very different from a baby.
Sometimes small kids suffer from ear pain due to air pressure. They become irritable and it is real hard on both parents and kids. Do have some sympathy.
On the other hand, some kids are real terror when they’re bored on long flights. That I can sympathize with you.
im a cabin crew so i face this situation all the time…passengers complaining bout crying toddler…parents being helpless with crying toddler…
just a few tips for passengers around crying toddler…ask for a change of seat during boarding when u spotted a potential ‘hazard’…if the flight is not full, most of the time we are more than happy to get u a change of seat…if we can’t, there’s always earplugs and headphones to help to filter out the noise…0:D be understanding…who knows…u’ll be the parents of crying toddler in the future right?
as for the parents of crying toddler…sometimes toddler/young children cry because of ear aches…especially during takeoff and landing…try give them their pacifier/dummy or feed them milk/water to help ease the pain…sometimes we will offer sweets/candy for them to suck as it will help to release the pressure in the ear…during long flights try to bring your child’s fave toys to play/books to read…one of the best trick i’ve seen so far…dvd player with their fave dvds!! it will occupy them for hours!!
hope these few tips will help everyone in their future travels…0:D
One time on a flight back from HKG, there was a mother with a very atas attitude with a screaming two year old. She had this attitude of “that’s not my kid screaming” and refused to do anything until four of us got up and stood over her. Yes we were quite cranky.
The transit hotel at SIN is pretty nice; great for sleeping. Did you get to play in the airport after you got settled in? The 24 hour food court is OK…
Hi Kehrole, she did say this “All airlines should seat all families with young children and babies together and install some kind of soundproof glass casing there lor!”.
So she will have meant babies too, no? 🙂 Handling a cranky baby and child is sometimes very tough, and they’re very unpredictable. Most parents (there’s some bad apples out there), fear bringing their kids / babies on board because they know how lots of people hates kids / babies crying on board. And the worse part is, parents are sometimes very helpless.
I for one, always prayed that my baby won’t cry everytime we go on a a plane. A lil bit of understanding will be great. 🙂
yalo!! i also always knot stand wailing babies/Kids~!
babies i understand its cause of the high pressure and irritable thing, but then hor, since its that way, why still bring the baby to sit on the air plane!!! what are you thinking mothers??
as for kids, i think they can take the airplane but the mothers must really play their role well as to not disturb other guests. I hate it the most when the mother just ignore the problem. This applies to not only wailing kids, but also to kids who kick the backseat of the passenger in front!! GRRRR!
omg i hate wailing kids too!! last time i was on this 2.5 hours midnite flight and i was trying to get some sleep..but there was this baby who kept crying ALL THE WAY..omg so annoying okay..
and it wasnt just a small scream..it was a high pitch wailing! urgh..i understand abt them being uncomfortable but why bring the baby on board then?
also there was this one time a toddler sat in front of me..she wails on and off then turns around and spits on ppl (ie me!) the mom didnt do anything sumore!
i guess it’s just my luck to be seated with wailing babies/ toddlers =(
aiyor i feel your pain about wailing babies/kids. luckily i have a ‘do not piss me orf unnerstand’ face so when kids see me they run away and cry somewhere else. kids & i repel each other so it’s a win-win situation wtf.
i sooo agree with you! they should put families with kids at the back of the plane or something.
last year when i was on a 5 hours flight, the child next to me cried for almost the whole journey.
i wanted to toss the child out of the plane -_-
@WenWen88 I think that maybe you also shouldn’t take everything that she said in the post above quite as literally as you seem to have 🙂 yes, she did say that about the glass partitions but maybe you need to also see it in the context of this premise. long flights that last 20+ hours are no fun, whether for adults or children. everyone is irritable at the end of it. this wasn’t some 2-hour flight, you know.
that said, i sympathize with parents who have to experience this and am sure that i/aud will at some point also experience it. however, what i think she is trying to convey here is also that some parents really should learn to be more firm with their children because kids nowadays really can be a lot more undisciplined and spoiled.
and that is the end of my comment! sekian terima kasih wtf.
Wait till you become a mother yourself. You will have a different opinion. I was exactly like you before I had my daughter. Now I resort to drugging her before boarding a plane to avoid annoying people like you.
I would recommend…
Dormicum! =D
Works wonder, especially if taken with alcohol. I take it when I need to sleep on a long flight. !hi
Okay, I don’t recommend it for you though.
I fuck up my own life enough dy. !hi
joshua: haha yaaaa
jac: the king HAHAHA damn funny!
kehrole: ya seriously this generation’s parents suck at discipline. i tell u i will rule my kids with an iron rod wtf
ahlost: hahaha scary!
ky: yalor! or the belt wtf
elie: yea so did me and my brother!
wen: thanks for the input about babies 🙂 but what about kids who throw tantrums and the parents don’t do anything to stop them?
ronin: yea i can understand if the kid is in discomfort. but what if they’re just screaming for attention?
joyjoyce: thanks joyce so useful <3
abraxis: oh good for u! haha i used to walk around changi a lot when i was younger but now when i transit all i wanna do is sleep -_-
wenwen88: haha yes actually i did mean all crying babies and kids. but actually i don't see anything wrong or discriminating with my statement. by separating these 2 groups of ppl u solve both problems - parents don't get stressed about disturbing the ohter passengers and the others get peace and quiet. but that said, it's very nice of you to be worried about others 🙂
polka: ya kids who kick chairs!!! not just planes but movie theaters everything
sarah: spit on ppl WTF HAHAHAHA U DAMN POOR THING
fresh: can u teach me to do that face!
valerie: hahaha ya can be damn tiring right T_T
annonymous: oh so we have no right to complain about screaming children isit? like u have the right to bring your kid onboard we also have the right to be unhappy if the kid cries non stop (especially if the parents don't do anything about it) i didn't even complain to the mother but why can't i say it on my own blog and how is that annoying?
hb: no pills! *terror
Gotta agree with you! Kid’s crying in the plane is the most annoying thing in the world. I mean, yes they can cry when it’s take off or landing but after that i don’t see a reason for them to cry! Once I sat in front of a crazy monster who can’t stop kicking my chair the whole flight. Thank God it was just a 2 hour flight. I did however told her mum coz it was making me headache but her mum just told her nicely “don’t do that’ and smile to the kid. WHAT THE F?
*when I was a kid if i throw tantrum my parents will totally abandon or scold me instead. I wonder why some parents just succumbed to their kid’s “trantrum-tism.”. Lol
Worked in First Class and Business class a couple of times. Babies crying all the way!! Imagine passengers paid app. RM 30,000 to 50,000RM for a long haul flight just to hear these annoying cries!!!! Babies shud be banned in FC and JC!!!
