The older I get, the more I hate Chinese New Year wtf.
I’m thoroughly convinced that all this time I’ve been looking at things through rose-tinted (geddit geddit) glasses wtf.
The best things about Chinese New Year used to be a break from school, new clothes and angpaus.
But now that I’m grown, I don’t have a break besides the two measly public holidays, unless I take leave.
I don’t have time to go CNY shopping anymore *wails (and besides I shop all year round anyway so the novelty has worn off)
And angpaus somehow don’t seem as exciting anymore (either it’s because I’m working…or I’m reaching Nirvana WTF). Although thankfully nobody has seemed reluctant to give me angpaus yet because I’m so old wtf.
And let’s not get into the massive jams back to Penang, the massive jams in Penang, and the massive irritation from waiting around and rushing around -_-
