Okay so to be honest, here are a few reasons why I’ve been delaying doing a makeup tutorial.
1. No time. I’m not the kind of person who wakes up when I have no plans WTF. So usually I tend to sleep until the last minute when I’m due for something then wake up in a panic, slap on makeup and run out of the house (usually without any food) So tell me where got time to slowly put on step by step leisurely take photos all.
2. No skill. I’ve known this my whole life but obviously I didn’t wanna admit it wtf. I know how to put on makeup. I know what needs to be done but that’s not to say I do it well or skillfully. Like most things in life, I do enough to get by and to look okay. But I’m definitely nowhere near the caliber of all those Youtube beauty vloggers or even people like Cheesie or Suet. You’ll see why later. So how can simply call myself pro and ask people to learn how I do makeup.
But since you all asked, Imma just show you how I do my makeup. Not even how cos I don’t have specific techniques to show you. Just telling you what I do. Ugly or ineffective don’t scold me!
3. Look like shit WTF. I have newfound respect for beauty bloggers after taking photos for this post. How do you hold your makeup pencil and put it on your face while gripping your camera and taking photos simultaneously!?!? Some more I notice most of them already look quite pretty before they even start applying makeup whereas I look like a shit bucket without the bucket.
Anyway without further ado, here’s how to look like.. Fourfeetnine wtf.
(I won’t be going through what products I use so please refer here for a list of my makeup products)
First of all, pop in those enlarging / color contact lens. Most people go for Geo lenses or Super Nudy or whatever I see on other people’s blogs. But I have very sensitive eyes (got night vision after all #insidejoke) so I stick with Acuvue Define daily lenses. Not as enlarging or dramatic as Geo lenses but good enough and best that I can throw away after every use.
First step, start off with a freshly washed face. Put on your moisturizer and sunblock first of course before your foundation/BB cream/whatever you’re more comfortable using. This one and concealer all no need to teach la cos my technique is literally slap on the foundation and use a sponge to wipe it all over my face WTF.
Good golly I scared myself too wtf. This is me with just foundation on and my signature flowerhorn forehead.
My arsenal.
For nice even double eyelids (refer to two pictures ago for shittily uneven lids) use eyelid tape! Actually you have two other options – eyelid glue and double eyelid string.
I actually already have double eyelids but I don’t like that one is thicker than the other. Also I’d like them both to be thicker overall because usually when I put on eyeliner and lashes, I look like I got single eyelids -_-
Anyway eyelid tape, although a bit obvious if you don’t distract with makeup layered on top, works best for me. Double eyelid string (which I think you can get from minimaos not sure if still got now) is the most subtle but sometimes doesn’t hold the crease for me maybe cos my original crease is too deep I dunno.
Just use whatever works best for you ah!
There you go more even eyelids. Also remember to fill in your eyebrows. Use brown if you have black hair and blond pencil if you have light or brown hair. If you have red…use Magic Markers WTF. (I dunno never had red hair)
If you have really light hair, you can use eyebrow mascara to further lighten your brows to match your hair too.
Then choose your eyeshadow! I usually go for gold or bronze or pink cos you can’t go wrong with them! And my makeup skills really suck lo even if don’t apply properly cannot tell *wise
Btw this eyeshadow palette has two layers to it damn good right! It also cost all of RM30 (USD10) because it’s fake MAC WTF *cheapo. Got it at the night market in Malacca I’m not very particular with eyeshadow brands as long as the color nice and pigment bright enough can already.
I chose bronze. I usually just put on one color between my eye creases and eyelid because if I extend more than that I won’t know where to stop WTF. Or how to blend -_- If I let myself go, the color will reach my eyebrows and beyond fml.

Apparently some men like watching their wives put on makeup for a night out. I don’t believe it.
Oh sorry after eyeshadow, line the top of your eyes with black eyeliner. I use gel eyeliner cos that’s the most lasting for me.
Then go over it with liquid eyeliner so it’s sharper and more precise.
Don’t forget to draw a wing at the end! For maximum cute effect wtf.
Then fake lashes! I usually use these ones for day use. Quite natural and not too dramatic. Besides I always suspect I look like a bat or a moth with thick lashes WTF.
Apply glue on the spine liberally. If it’s your first time, buy the glue that comes out white but then dries to clear. Even if you make a mess out of it, not so easy for people to see the mistakes.
Mine is called Fix-It can get it from Sasa.
Then just whack the lash on wtf. Try not to suffer too much while doing it.
It takes a bit of practice but the easiest way for me is to first measure where the lash starts and ends by putting it against my eye. Then after I know where it starts (somewhere in the middle of my eye), I put on the glue and hold the starting of the lash and place it on the middle of my eye. Then after that’s stuck down, I move my thumb and forefinger to the end of the lash and push the end of the lash down to stick at the corner of my eye.
I hope that was easy to understand -_-
Lashes make a lot of difference huh!
Then get a gold or bronzy eyeliner pencil.
And line the bottom of your eyes, especially near the inside of your eyes.
Some gyarus use white eyeliner for this but I think it looks a bit outdated and Maiko said white eyeliner is more for a childish look so I was right! wtf.

Ok I show you something damn scary! Remember first step is to put on contact lens? I took off one lens to scare the shit out of you wtf. See the huge difference contacts make to looking cuter?
(This is also why I’ll never do Lasik. Do already cannot wear contacts and my irises need severe help in the size department wtf)
Now put on mascara on your lower lashes. I always use a base coat cos I think it provides a lot more volume.
You can either put on fake lower lashes or use your liquid eyeliner to draw on lashes yourself! Ringo taught me this wan credit goes to her for being so cheating clever.
Then blusher.
Don’t have a technique for this either. Most of the time I just smile and color on the apples of my cheeks.
Cover flowerhorn forehead with bangs and good to go!

Used to be very insecure if my bangs were too short cos I damn paranoid about my gigantic forehead wtf. But now I prefer if they’re shorter and pushed to the side. Like cuter and cleaner liddat!
Feel like some people will say my double eyelids too fake or too thick or what -_- Or my makeup sucks monkey backside don’t deserve to blog a how-to post. Actually I’m pretty sure I’m doing everything wrong wtf. But I like ah! This is just how I do it but feel free to share if you do it differently or there’s a better or more efficient way..

Do you use loose/pressed powder to set your liquid foundation?
You should definitely let your eyebrows grow out and have it professionally waxed. After that, just do a proper upkeep. Other than that, you look super pretty. The makeup is simple enough. I will make more of an effort to look less dowdy everyday =P
