Tokyo Day 1 (Oct 2012 to be clear)

Shittiest blogger ever I just realized I haven’t finished blogging about our Tokyo/Taipei 2012 trip yet!  D: D:

Again, special thanks to Expedia for arranging the entire trip for us.  For cheap yet great value flights and hotels, remember to book with them!

We touched down in Tokyo and right away, Cheesie’s danna picked us up from our hotel and took us for dinner.

Ramen store in Shinjuku.

He said he googled for two hours to find the best ramen in Tokyo WTF Cheesie made the right husband choice LOL.

Typical ramen store layout ….

where you order and pay at the machine.  Us looking very befuddled as though it’s a very tough choice choosing what to eat like that wtf.

The most mind-boggling thing ever.  The shop provided a free supply of hair elastics – so your hair doesn’t fall into your soup.  These Japanese think of everything!

Malaysians, please learn.

(I had yet another unpleasant encounter today – this time with a sales staff at Louis Vuitton in KLCC.  Fatty was thinking of buying his mother a present so we went to inquire about the price of a bag.  Stuck-up sales assistant looked bored when we spoke to her, and when she was telling us the price, she looked over our heads when speaking.  No eye contact because I guess that would have been beneath her.

What is up with stuck-up salespeople in designer stores in KL!  Not the first time I kena this treatment.  Hello, standing behind the counter doesn’t make you Louise Vuitton lah please.

I actually didn’t think about this and get angry until later hahaha.  So she escaped my Kempen Sopan Santun dammit.)

The ramen came.

And it was so good I nearly did too. HAHAHAHA.

Even now thinking about it my saliva and tear ducts can activate.

Happy four of us!!

Then it was off to Don Quijote to shop the night away.

Literally I think we only left at midnight hahahaha.

It was Halloween (Qiu’s most dreaded season because everything is orange lolol) so all the spooky orange decor was up!

Disney lashes. T_____T  Wendy bought these and she said apparently they’re awesome.

So if you’re in Japan, go for them!

Cutest toilet paper in the world.

Wendy bought like a sack of these hahahaha she was going nuts choosing.

I was tempted but didn’t because:

1) waste of luggage space

2) I think I’d rather go around with a dirty butt than besmirch such adorable paper *crazy

My Don Quijote (first night only wtf) haul!

From left to right, top to bottom: Hello Kitty makeup case, Hello Kitty tissue box cover, Amo and Diamond Lash lashes, Candydoll blusher, Lip Service bottom lashes, liquid eyebrow pen, Diamond eyelash glue, eyelid sticker and the darkest liquid liner in the world.  It’s two pronged, so one end is black one end is silver glitter.

Oooh this was our hotel!  KEIO Plaza hotel in Shinjuku.  Gorgeous leh!  Expedia picked it for us.. we were like wahhh when we walked in hahaha.

Good location, beautiful AND got free shuttle to Disneyland!

Ok that’s all for Day 1 in Tokyo!

  • what do you do with leftover eyelashes? i still have a box from 2 years ago wtf.

  • Why leftover! Use ALL the lashes!

  • Hi Audrey, where is this ramen shop cheesie’s danna bring u guys to? and the English name of the restaurant? thanks

  • gahhh, that ramen!

  • damn goooooddddddddd

  • yup, sales staff in high end stores (sometimes the SA of make up brands) in malaysia is really rude. i remembered when i was in college (fresh out of high school and small town in sabah), i wanted to start experimenting with make up and skin care and all, and went there (not naming the brand) asking for help with the intention of getting a few items from them after i did my research, and they totally ignore me, rolling their eyes when i ask them something, like i was wasting their time

  • i was so glad i eventually spent my later years in the uk and the sales staffs there are really helpful and actually spend load of time helping me trying on their products over and over for almost and hour or so before purchasing anything, that i felt ‘paiseh’ taking up their time, but i was so happy with the service that i bought a lot more than i initially intended.nni think most of the sales staffs in malaysia judge you first even before you enter the store. like wtf. sorry, lengthy comment

  • please do a double eyelid sticker tutorial plsssssss T____T

  • But there’s nothing to it! My tutorial would be:nn1. Peel off the sticker from the sheetnn2. Stick it on wtf

  • Like this sentence ~Hello, standing behind the counter doesn’t make you Louise Vuitton lah please.

  • awesome can’t wait to read next posst 😀

  • Waaaah that rude LV woman. I live in the States and I went to an outlet with my mom. We wandered into Fendi and there was this black guy who immediately gave us a dirty look and followed us around the store to make sure we didn’t steal anything. Um, your store was friggen empty before we went in and no wonder! Most of the people who visit are tourists wearing shorts and tshirts in hot weather – you think you can pick and choose customers?nHope you didn’t buy from her – she deserves no commission

  • I encountered a stuck up sales assistant at LV before too, but at The Gardens branch. I asked for prices of a few bags & wallets and she looked at my mom & I as if we’re just asking for fun & have no money to buy.. Even if that’s true, she shouldn’t have behaved that way. Not a nice person at all. So we ended up buying from her colleague standing right next to her instead haha. And there goes her commission. Btw Aud you’re beautifulll ♡ I adore you!!

  • No we didn’t! We walked out. I don’t understand some people who buy more to show the staff they can afford it – why contribute to their commission!?

  • Yea it’s true. My friend said most people don’t just walk in and buy designer items anyway so they should expect it if people don’t buy immediately !

  • And why you praise me I shy hahaha
