Ok I’m sitting here with electric jolts running through my hands wtf.
Today we are launching the Foruchizu website.
And while it was not as hard as say, building a railroad, it was a lot harder than I thought.
Actually no I knew it was going to be tough because it’s something we’ve never done before. I’ve run plenty of projects for clients, managed website creation, done customer service… I think I was fairly competent la if not get fired a long time ago already wtf. But doing this is so new because.. I’m usually better at following instructions and examples. And this time there were none. And everything I do now, I am personally vested in it.
Last time with clients, if something goes wrong it’s okay not really my problem WTF. But now I’m fucking terrified haih. I don’t know about Cheesie but I feel like I’m not sure about anything at all – are we doing the right thing, are we picking the right items to sell, does the website make sense, is it ugly, are we spending money wisely. I even considered putting off the launch just because I’m too scared.
In fact I’m even afraid to publish this post to say that the site is up.
Whatever we do, I guess there will always be people giving us negative feedback or saying we’re too expensive or something (I asked friends with blogshops and they all say the same thing – somehow Malaysians will always complain about high prices even if the price is not even that expensive, so cannot take this too seriously wtf) but we would really really like to know your (constructive) feedback and how we can improve.
(I got some feedback on our collaboration with Isetan a few posts back. I admit I was annoyed because I felt the feedback wasn’t that constructive, and I have to say I felt personally victimized. There are a lot of factors that go into retail and this collab that had to be a certain way (that we didn’t realize before either) because that’s just now things work, so I felt upset that people were complaining about stuff that were like that for a reason. But I guess we cannot expect the average person to know all this. And on further thought, I do appreciate your honest feedback la. Just please be gentle haha.)
So for this week, Foruchizu is in beta test phase. Which means that there will probably be glitches that we haven’t detected yet, or maybe we misgauged server space and things might be laggy or whatever. So we’re restricting access to registered users first (you can register on the website itself). Again, please let us know if there are any issues by either emailing hello[at]foruchizu[dot]com or just emailing me and Cheesie personally la wtf.
We have a lot of ideas on what we want to do with Foruchizu (but we will need time and money hahaha) and hopefully we will get there soon. Nothing is set in stone either, we might change direction, change site layout, change pricing even cos we are very willing to improve and learn.

First up, tattoo stockings! Double cross and colorful card suits.

And I am never taking photos next to Cheesie’s legs anymore. You can see which ones are hers and which ones are mine (the fat ones). Should have liquidified lolol.
Black tutu skirt with shorts underneath. Ok I be honest with you. When we first found this skirt we were like WAAANT. The concept is very cute, the skirt is made out of a stiff organza type fabric so it’s poofy, and the shorts are a slightly stretchy but thick cotton.
But. BUT. Every time I put it on, I feel like I cannot decide if I like it on me WTF. Sometimes it looks cute but sometimes I feel like it doesn’t look that nice. Maybe the skirt is too puffy. Controversial wtf. So I’m telling you all what I honestly think cos we don’t want to be misleading!
Baseball jacket made of fake leather with sheer sleeves. Sleeve cuffs are gathered and ruffled, one of my favorite items. 😀 This will be released next week.
Monotone flair top (and the rose brooch comes with it). It’s a top la but I’m short so it looks like a mini dress on me. Fabric is chiffon and cotton.

Heart print chiffon top with pussy bow collar! Good for CNY (and for work) although I’m not superstitious like that.
Shirt and knit set in two colors – black knit/off-white shirt and beige knit/pink shirt.
Also see the cat clutches we’re carrying? We’re giving them away (one pink, one black) to the two customers who spend the most from now till the end of February, as a token of our appreciation.

The website looks really professional, Audrey! I’m not kidding – it looks sooo much sleeker and snazzier than the average blogshop website. Like, it reminds me of asos.com or topshop.com (you get the drift). Good job 🙂 I didn’t register though, so my thoughts are only based on what I see in the frontpage.nnP.S. I think a professional-looking website makes ppl feel better about paying higher prices? Haha it’s a psychological thing I guess.

really ah thank you! yea we tried to make it as simple as possible (and yea we drew inspiration from proper retail websites) so it’s more versatile and we can always adapt or add on to it later. thank you for your feedback!!!
we’ll work on it! cos to be honest partly the reason is we don’t know how many pieces to get for which size hahaha. but when we get on our feet more we will expand the sizes!

I personally think the price is expensive for someone like me. But, from a business point of view the price does make sense, since the shop is at an exclusive place like Isetan and KLCC. Malaysians need to use some logic at times. If they want cheap clothes they might as well go pasar malam.
Retail is competitive. U will realise Malaysian market is lousy. I target a higher end market n it works for me and Im into my 8th year. Pricing is utmost important becoz if it’s way too high u wont move much, if u strike it right, u will sell a lot, same size, color n design n that’s how it works. All da best!
