So smart

Lately I’ve been really proud of Fighter. ย Because he’s a preemie we don’t expect too much of him but he seems to be doing very well developmentally and doing a lot of things right.

For example ever since he learned how to nurse, every time he’s hungry and I pick him up, he starts opening his mouth and rooting around my chest for milk hahaha.

The confinement auntie said “Smart baby. ย He knows who his mommy is; when I pick him up he doesn’t search for milk.”

Fighter you so smart! ^________^

Then last night he did this:

Fatty said, “Err Fighter why are you trying to suck my nipple?”

Not that smart after all this baby. Lolol.

A little while after that, I noticed his mitten slipped off while Fatty was carrying him.

I tried to put the mitten back on for him but he splayed his fingers and struggled a bit so I kept failing.

“Fighter keep still! You need your mitten or your hand will get cold!”

He gripped my finger and wouldn’t let go.

There are few things I can’t resist. ย Fighter holding my finger is one of them. T_____T

Ahhh okay la Fighter no mittens. ย I just hold your hand to keep it warm.

Fighter – 1, Mommy – 0.

  • Little Jude is soooooooooooo cuteeeeeeeeee! SO happy for you! nLots of love, Lisa

  • Very cute ๐Ÿ™‚ We never used the mittens – I think they just prevent the baby from feeling and touching things and watching his own fingers. We also just cut the nails if they were too long (e.g. scratching his own face).

  • It’s not just the nails. Without the mittens he’s dug his fingers into his eye socket before

  • Hehe thanks!

  • Hi… I read your blog, especially the pregnancy period till the birth of your cute lil Fighter.. I am a mom myself and my 2nd bb is on the way soon ๐Ÿ™‚ i had the urge to leave you a this message which I don’t normally do… I could never imagine the pain and the fear that you went through, but one thing for sure, you should be proud of yourself for having such courage, a wonderful husband and a loving and supportive groups of family and friends to be by your side throughout this ordeal… It’s all worth it to be able to see our children grow… Your Fighter is very cute and will be a stronger fighter against all odds in life… A big cheers to you, your husband and Fighter! ๐Ÿ™‚

  • So happy that Baby Fighter is doing sooooo well!

  • I had preeclampsia from Week 28. My baby was born 37 weeks but 3 pounds (IUGR). First few weeks were tough and i didnt realise she was so small. We bought both pink and blue preemie clothes from Mothercare and also online from UK. She’s a beautiful 4 years old now and still on the small side but otherwise perfectly healthy.

  • Hi Audrey, I chanced upon your blog and read back a few entries on Fighter’s developments. I am so happy he’s doing so well these days. I have been ttc for 2 years and continue to be hopeful and optimistic. Your positive outlook and postings are very uplifting and they compelled me to leave you a note here. Baby Jude will grow up strong and hearty like his daddy and he’s sooo adorable with mummy’s big eyes and smile! Sending you & your family all my blessings…

  • Keep it up!
