These babies. They’re all smarter than you give them credit for.
So a few days ago we brought Fighter out for dinner with us. I packed him some pureed peas so he could eat dinner with us too.
That’s Fighter being very aware of the camera.
And that’s me making my usual helicopter motor noises to get him to open mouth. Should totally patent it wtf. How it goes is: “TODTODTODTODTOD” (in manly growl) then “OPEN THE GATE FIGHTER! LET US IN LET US IN!” (high pitched squealing) then when mouth opens, “yay we’re safely home!”
It always works. Oh all right it only works the first bite of every meal wtf. After that he wisens up to it.
Only realizing got camera pointing at us mid-helicopter roar.
He did eat his peas that night though! ^^
When he wasn’t too busy staring at the camera that is.
Anyway after I finished feeding him, I passed him to Fatty while I ate.
Fighter started whining and struggling in Fatty’s arms and I can’t remember why but Fatty shifted Fighter on his lap so he was closer to me. Fighter started flailing his arms…
Then suddenly I felt a koala clinging on to my arm.
T___________T
We’ve known for about a month that when Fighter wants someone to carry him, he turns his torso towards them and lifts up his arms but relatively half heartedly.
Most of the time he doesn’t do this cos he’s not very particular who carries him… as long as he’s carried wtf.
So this is the first time I’ve seen him actively reach out and cling to someone like this. And that someone is me!!!!!!!!!!!!
Still putting his hand on my shoulder trying to move over to me hehehe.
Ahhh Fighter you totally have my heartstrings wrapped around your chubby little knuckles.
We compromised by Fatty putting him as close to me as possible. Then we thought oooh perfect opportunity for family photo!
Still clinging. Hahahaha.
These babies. I swear right before they leave heaven for a nice warm womb, the angels probably gave them a piece of advice:
“Whatever you do, the one who gives you milk? That’s the one you need to please. Capture her heart and you’re set for life.”

Aww.. These are the rewards of a mother. Nothing else beats it. I think the angels forgot to tell my daughter though. Either that or she got mixed up with her daddy!
