So it’s been two weeks since I started taking the DHC Collagen Beauty 7000 drink from Watsons.
It’s been a fortnight so drinking this has been part of my morning ritual now. DHC advises to drink this every night before bed because skin regeneration occurs mostly at night.
But because it contains muscat juice and thus acid, and I’m gastric-prone, the rep I spoke to said I can also take it in the morning after breakfast. ^^
I actually quite like drinking it! Hikky told me she tried drinking collagen too but she didn’t like the collagen smell but the DHC one is quite fruity and yummeh.
So here’s the changes I’ve noticed in my body. If the rep hadn’t forewarned me of some of the effects I might not have known it was from the drink.
1. Cannot fall asleep quickly for two nights wtf.
The Watsons team warned me this could happen and that it would pass. Usually I fall asleep within five minutes of getting into bed so it was quite a distinctive effect on me.
However, after those two nights, I had no problems sleeping.
2. Instead, before this I used to have a lot of trouble waking up even if I had 9 full hours of uninterrupted sleep. I’d wake up but then feel so sleepy that I’d fall asleep and wake up repeatedly for about an hour usually before I wake up. I’m aware this makes me sound like a sloth wtf. But I started noticing within the past week that when I wake up, I feel quite awake and ready to get up and about without dallying in bed.
I don’t know if this is definitely because of the collagen drink but it’s the only thing I’ve done different these two weeks so it’s a good chance.
3. Feel damn hungry for breakfast

I’m one of those unhealthy people who skip breakfast – why eat breakfast when you can move straight to lunch wtf. I usually have no appetite in the morning and it’s all I can do to drink a cup of milo. Now I wouldn’t say that I have a raging appetite in the morning but weirdly I do feel like eating, and I eat proper breakfasts now. Consequently, I’m not starving when it’s lunch time, so I eat lighter lunches and don’t feel so heavy and bloated in the afternoon. 😀
3. Skin!! To be honest I don’t feel any big differences . It’s not like I wake up and WAH my skin is lighting up the room wtf. It’s probably because my skin is still relatively young and elastic. If I were say, 40 years old maybe there would be a more obvious difference?
That said, there are small changes I noticed, only in the last few days when we were in Penang for Christmas. Firstly I noticed that although I was using the same facial moisturizer, my skin felt VERY STICKY even ten minutes after application. Same for my eye cream. I wondered if I was putting on too much but no wor.
Last time a beautician told me that she could tell how thirsty my skin was by how fast the moisturizer absorbed. Does that mean my skin is less dry now so it absorbs moisture slower?
Also, before if I don’t apply body lotion after shower, my skin will get all itchy and flaky damn gross one. Now if I skip a few days also can. D:
4. Lastly, the Watsons DHC people also said if I don’t normally drink a lot of water (and I don’t; I think I was a camel in my past life) I might feel thirsty.
I think that’s an understatement. I now drink enough to go to the bathroom every hour at least. And long car rides now terrify me because I’m worried I might need to go toilet in the middle. Lolol.
It’s possible that drinking all this water is also contributing to my skin’s condition. But I’m happy cos it’s finally done what Mummy Ooi and Fatty failed to do – get me to drink more water.
That’s my two week experience with DHC Collagen Beauty 7000! Imma try for another two weeks and see if there are any other changes. 🙂
I’m finally getting down to writing about Sanrio Puroland in Tokyo and for a very good reason!
This was the girly trip me, Cheesie, Wendy and Qiu went for. ^_______^
On the day itself, the four of us woke up nice and early and dressed all cutesy-themed to go to Sanrio Puroland!
On the train! Wah forgot how vibrant Wendy’s hair was hahaha.
Look at how excited Cheesie was!!! While me and Wendy were all like ‘please we’re so cool’ lol. Qiu was taking the picture. We were all very excited lah! The reason why we planned this entire girly trip was so we could go to Sanrioland and fulfill all our dreams *crosses off bucket list.
If we went with husbands they’d be bored la, very glad that the four of us with our obsession for Hello Kitty could all go together!

The entire time we were just melting over all the cute things. I think we spent the most time in the shops only. :X

We also met Charmmy Kitty! Charmmy Kitty is actually Hello Kitty’s pet cat (ya I know right) and omg she is soooo cute I don’t even know how to tell you. It wasn’t just that she looked ridiculously cute with her poncho and her top hat full of bears and bows and blooms (although she did) but it was the way she acted!
She stayed entirely in character the entire time and was just very docile and gentle. Like she’d cock her head or tilt a bit when taking photos and her tail would wag gahhhh wanted to kidnap her!
Us being Malaysians/Singaporeans kept lining up repeatedly to take photos with her hahahaha.
That was our trip to Puroland!

Right before I left for San Fran, I received a whole set of Kate products to test!!
Happy cos I rarely get asked to review makeup – somehow I usually get skincare. And Kate is always an awesome makeup brand. When I was in high school and had no money, I used to lust after Kate cosmetics on the shelves of Watson hahaha and now I do use Kate products, latest being their eyebrow pencil. (very blond, very nice)
Also, whenever someone mentions Kate, other people around sure say “Kate? Their eyeliner is damn good.” Like confirm without fail lol. So that’s their reputation in Malaysia at least. Good job guys wtf.
This time they’ve released a couple of new products! A foundation called “Powderless Liquid for Cover”, complemented by a “Slim Create Powder” contouring compact.
Why powderless liquid? Because it’s formulated so that within 15 seconds of application, the liquid vaporizes and turns into powder form.
Before I go into the review, here’s my current situation with face makeup.
1. I prefer liquid coverage to powder because powder seems to dry out my skin a lot more
2. I normally use tinted moisturizer because (a) lighter than foundation, I don’t like heavy coverage on my skin (b) much easier to apply than foundation; I find that I need to use brushes to apply foundation evenly, whereas I can just use my fingers for tinted moisturizer (c) gave up BB cream cos it turns my face grey wtf
3. However, tinted moisturizer and BB cream are usually too light to cover my freckles and redness around my nose. 🙁 Plus they remain sticky on my face for very long. I usually apply loose powder after to set it but even then it doesn’t work that great. And finally, tinted moisturizer rubs off every time I blow my nose (which is damn often)
So anyway I started with cleansed empty face. I always get snide anonymous remarks about being ugly without makeup fml. True what I also never deny don’t waste your breath trying to tell me something I’m not shy about please lolol. They always say it like they’re hipster and are the first person to realize it hahaha.
Squeeze a small amount on to my palm… Actually on subsequent uses I realized I actually need less than half of this amount only – this product goes a pretty long way!
Dabbed it all over my face before using my fingers to smooth it all over. You can use a brush or sponge if you like. I’m just lazy.
I actually applied it as fast as I could cos I scared 15 seconds is up and I haven’t finished patting it over yet hahahaha.
15 seconds is actually quite long. Don’t need to rush haha.
I was waiting for some magic to happen like PUFF liquid changes to solid but no such thing la. In fact, one second my face was damn with liquidy cream, the next it was smooth and matte already.
I didn’t even have to finish off with powder!
Verdict: Very easy to apply – fingers are perfectly adequate, in contrast to other liquid foundations which streak or get splotchy if I don’t use a brush. It also evens out as it dries so I didn’t have to blend that much. 😀
Coverage is naturally heavier than BB cream but nothing too bad (maybe because powder feels a lot lighter?). Best part is, usually halfway during the day my T zone gets slick with oil, but I didn’t need to touch up with this at all. The only drawback to this is I think I got the wrong color for myself wtf cos my face looks a bit yellow hahaha.
There’s 6 shades to choose from though so there should be something for everyone.
And because it gives such a matte finish, your face can look a little broad with no shadow/contouring. Kate thought ahead and created this Slim Create Powder.
It’s a set of highlighter (use it to highlight your T zone, nose and chin, and bronzer to shade the sides of your face so you don’t look like the moon. ^^
Shading done! I shaded right under my cheekbones and the sides of my jaw. (my Botox is going away T_T)
Also got lipsticks and lip glosses to play with! Yay! As you might know, after neglecting my lips for so long I recently only got interested in playing with lip colors.

Beige nude. This was my default color because I used to feel very self conscious about color on my lips (cracked lips more obvious, look like chinese vampire etc)
Still my favorite color today though! <3
Orange-pink! (second from right) is another of my favorite colors on myself.
This one is a very sheer lipstick with a tinge of glitter in it, but the more I layered on the color, the brighter the color got. 🙂
The tube lip gloss! As expected, it’s very sheer, but because the color is quite bright, it balanced out the sheerness with color nicely 😀
Beige-pink, far right. This and the second from left looks almost exactly the same actually. First time trying this color, very pretty but I think it looks a little bit icy on me. Maybe suits fairer skin more. :X
Verdict: Lip colors are overall quite good quality! Colors were attractive, and the best part for me is that they were very moisturizing! Felt like lipbalm and it didn’t try my lips out.

I am two years past it now. T_______T Oh world, why don’t you just go ahead and end now WTF.
The other day I happened to be at Foruchizu and there was a very fashionable lady browsing the racks. She went to try on some stuff and I helped her zip up the back and started talking to her. She said she wasn’t sure about the items (a long sleeved clingy leopard print dress and a long sleeved lace top) and I told her nonsense because she looked amazing in them! With all due respect, I’ve never seen a middle aged person dress as well (appropriately for their age yet trendily and pulling it off) as her.

I nearly punched her on her shoulder and said “get out.”
She said her secret is eating right (lots of veggies, fruits, protein and less carbs – yau mou!!!) and health supplements.
So I’m excited to see if DHC Collagen Beauty 7000 will work!!!
Because this is something I will be ingesting, I did research prior to drinking it to see if it really works and if there are any side effects.
After age 25, your body starts producing less collagen (among other things) which is why skin aging starts at this time. T_______T
Some people have expressed disbelief on the interwebs that ingesting collagen will not work and collagen has to be produced by your own body. But studies also show that oral ingestion of collagen will help improve certain aspects of health, especially skin & wrinkles, and joint & limb health.
DHC is a very big brand in Japan and I have Japanese friends who drink this too! So OK I try also. It’s available in all Watsons.
It contains 7,000mg of fish collagen (more than enough for what we need daily) and 12% muscat juice to make it delicious. It also contains Vitamin C which encourages collagen production in the body, so it doubles up a a vitamin C supplement too, as well as pre-hyaluronic acid for the synthesis of hyaluronic acid and a compound called L-Citrulline which enhances blood circulation.
I was a bit worried about the taste but it’s very nice! The inclusion of muscat juice means it has a nice grape flavor. And it’s quite fun to drink out of that small bottle.
I’m supposed to drink one bottle a day and I just started yesterday. Imma drink this for a month and see what changes will happen to my body and face.
Some people who drank this DHC Collagen Beauty 7000 say their skin got better, some say their hair got shinier. D: But apparently effects differ person to person so dunno what I’ll get.
(please let it be thicker hair WTF. Less laugh lines also would be nice! Also wouldn’t mind growing taller hahahahaha ok I kid.)

Lolol no la! I actually really like looking at houses. Even when I was younger I used to like following my parents on random drives around housing areas to look at people’s houses. I think my parents also quite free.
So I happily accepted the invitation to visit KEN Rimba, also known as Malaysia’s First Green Township.
To be awarded a Green Township, the development has to jump through a lot of hoops to meet certain exacting ‘green’ standards – mostly revolving around energy and resource conservation.
For example, almost all the houses are built in a north/south orientation that helps to minimize direct radiation that contribute heat gain to the house The house is cooler and you get to save on air-conditioning.
So basically KEN Holdings has done so well in the Green arena that they’ve already got awards to their name!
KEN Rimba Legian Residences has won the Malaysia Green Building Index (GBI) Certified Award and Singapore Building & Construction Authority (BCA) Gold Award, while KEN RIMBA Jimbaran Residences has won the Singapore Building & Construction Authority (BCA) GoldPLUS Provisional.

It’s a new township on the border between Klang and Shah Alam – near Fatty’s favorite bak kut teh place wtf – and is made up of all terrace houses.
(KEN Rimba is divided into two phases – Legian Residences and Jimbaran Residences. Bali inspired names come from the Bali inspired concept of the township. Legian Residences has 4 bedrooms + 3 bathrooms while Jimbaran Residences has 4 bedrooms + 3 bathrooms + 1 loft)

The front of a Legian house. Very simple and minimalistic! Jimbaran is the same except that the width of the house is slightly longer (by two feet) and instead of a front door, the sliding glass panels extend throughout the front and are used as a front entrance, which gives an illusion that the house is super wide. 😀
But first wanted to show you the outside of the house!
This is the Linear Garden between the rows. So pretty! I was totally enamoured with it.
Usually alleyways in Malaysian housing areas are just blank tar roads with open drains at the sides of the houses but KEN Rimba made the effort to plant grass, trees and shrubbery and cover the drains. There’s even a small pond filled with guppy fish behind the foliage!
Likewise, the back alleys are also filled with flowering plants which make it a joy to walk through. Also, it’s an entirely guarded community so there’s no risk of burglars entering your house through the back.
Burglars were always climbing over our back fence and stealing our gas tanks wtf. *grim
Into the house!
When you enter, to the side of the door there’s this little plot of earth! As part of KEN Rimba’s green concept, this small area is for people to have a little part of outside inside their home. 🙂
The tiny garden space comes with a skylight above it for natural sunlight.
Another feature of the houses is the louvered glass windows. These type of windows used to be in place in all the old houses, and most people think they’re very old fashioned right! Mine had them too before my parents renovated. But there’s a very good reason for them – in hot Malaysian weather, when you want to turn on the aircon, you simply shut the windows. When it’s raining and you want to take advantage of the cool air outside, open them. Unlike regular windows which open sideways and may block air movement, louvered windows have the added advantage of letting in moving cool air into your house easily. 🙂 The ones here are Australian made.
So our elders had it right wtf.
Another green feature is the rainwater tanks behind every house.
Pipes from the roof collect rainwater which is stored in the tanks. There are hoses connected to the tanks so you can water your backyard and save on your water bill!
The township also has communal bikes for residents to use to get around the area! So you don’t need to use your car to go around short distances.
So pretty all in white. <3 Matches my outfit wtf. Might as well say – tshirt from MURUA, leather shorts from Azorias, studded boots from Jipaban.
Even got guard dog on hand to patrol and take care of your safety. I went near him and cooed and he barked at me fml.
For Muslims and people scared of dogs, don’t worry! The security guards will only patrol with the dog and keep him from residents, all under control.
Then we went to look at a fully furnished unit.

I say bullshit lolol.
I’m not a foodie la so I don’t usually talk about food, nor do I plan where is my next meal wtf. But of course I like certain foods la! Like until can eat two servings in a meal kind. And I know exactly how hard it is to diet. I felt I put on weight after I got back from the US so I tried to do a keto diet. Lasted a day.
But the thing is, you don’t necessarily have to deprive yourself of your favorite foods in order to look good or be fashionable.
Here’s an instance of how food complements fashion.
I call this Hazelnut Ganache.
And Strawberry Dream.

I thought the concept of styling an outfit based on food was quite cool! This is my Hazelnut Ganache I think I got the colors pat down! Fuzzy sweater H&M, leopard print skorts Shake Shake, hat from Japan.
Strawberry Dream outfit. Top from forgot where wtf blogshop I think. Jeggings are Topshop, heels are Aldo (and too big ಠ_ಠ)
Then I put Fatty to work… opening La Cremeria tubs. Burn the calories so he can eat and still be Fatty, not Fatter.

I usually don’t like strawberry flavored food but this taste like real strawberry and I love!!!!!!! It’s strawberry + vanilla swirled together with bits of strawberry fruit ahhhhh yummeh. Possibly my new favorite ice cream flavor now.
Next up is Hazelnut Ganache.
NOM. Not too sweet, nutty with a hint of dark chocolate I think. Nice also but still prefer Strawberry Dream.
Hide them before Fatty grabs them.
