Whoops I was going through my phone photos and realized I haven’t blogged about the rest of our Tokyo + Taipei trip yet.
But since I have no time to draft out a nice long entry about our trip – I’m hurriedly blogging this while waiting for Fats to finish work – here’s a bunch of random pictures of me (and Cheesie) that I haven’t posted up yet. ^_^

Right now we only communicate via email cos of the huge time difference (16 hours yo).
And because she usually gets me presents from Japan whenever she goes (hint, are you reading this Ringo wtf), I decided to get her a present.
Although we love hanging out together, we see each other a lot less than other BFFs cos of our always clashing schedules.
Usually we keep in contact with Whatsapp and Line and laptops and whatnot but in sticking with our tradition of always having the same items….

I stand by this statement. Although I do procrastinate a lot wtf.
But seriously, the oddest things happen just to make my life that little bit more difficult. It’s like I got a bad case of Murphy’s Law wtf.
Not the big things, granted. The big things I’m really pretty lucky la. Just the teeny irritating “wtf-where-did-that-come-from” curve balls life throws at me just to, I dunno, strengthen my stamina for stupid things wtf.
Here’s a list of some off the top of my head.
1. Today I wanted to go to the bank so I asked the GPS to lead me to the nearest bank branch according to my location. Ended up driving 5km to some godforsaken place where the bank has already closed down wtf. This happened TWICE in a row. ಠ_ಠ I ended up taking nearly two hours for a simple errand that should have taken ten. Fuck you Murphy!
2. Went to develop wedding photos for our families. First time I went to the photo shop (haha wtf) they told me their memory card reader was broken. Went home empty handed. Made another attempt today, this time armed with a thumb drive. I loitered around for 45 minutes while waiting for the photos to be done. After 45 minutes, I returned to the store only to be told that I probably pulled out my thumb drive before the pictures got properly saved, so the files are all corrupt wtf and therefore un-develop-able. It is not corrupt please! It’s a new thumb drive and I left it in my computer all night so I definitely did not pull it out too early. This one I suspect is incompetence on the shop man’s part cos I checked before and it was ok, only until he put it in his computer. ಠ_ಠ
3. Went to client’s office to pick up products for an ad. Kept taking the wrong way cos I read the GPS wrong. From KL to the Curve I took 1.5 hours with no jam fml. Ok la this is my incompetence.
(how I sit in the car wtf. Ya I sometimes read during traffic jams don’t tell the police — or Fatty. *shifty eyed. I took this photo cos recently I’ve been seeing a lot of people post these sort of photos on Instagram but it’s very disgusting one. They’ll make sure the center of the steering wheel is visible so you know what expensive car they’re driving. Even worse some even position their Chanel/LV/insert brand bag on their lap, next to the steering wheel. WHO DOES THAT! Bag on the lap how to turn the wheel! Take everyone for idiots think we don’t know the bag is there to tell people they’re rich wtf.)
Got a lot others. But for one day, 3 incidents is quite enough. >:(

Hi. Forgive me if I sound bitter.
I never wanted to leave. I was perfectly happy in my Don Quijote in Shinjuku. All my friends wanted so badly to be chosen. They all jostled for space on the shelf, under the bright fluorescent lights. Idiots. What did they know?
Me, I played it cool. I was more than happy to lurk behind the rest of them and while my days away counting dust in the quiet shadows of At the Back of the Shelf.
Then one day, I heard a loud “I buy ramen la scared later tonight I hungry!!!” Monstrous hands swept aside the other overexcited cups and groped around in the darkness until they got to me.
Balls!
With some difficulty, the dwarf pulled me down from the high shelf and dusted me off. Just my luck to get some kiasu Asian who thinks that products at the back are better than the ones in front. True, but not to my advantage right now.
She popped me into her bag and lugged me back to her hotel room.
That night, all she did was look at her computer and talk to her roommate. Then when they were hungry they went out for Yoshinoya! Why did she buy me then!?
Man I could feel my blood boiling. If she’d decided to open me and eat me then, I would have been all ready cooked for her at the rate I was going.
The next day, she stuffed me into a paper bag, all the while telling her friends, “I’LL EAT IT FOR SUPPER WHEN WE GET TO TAIPEI.”
Whaddya know, when they get to Taipei, they chance upon a buffet dinner in their transit hotel and stuff themselves to bursting.
I sat there in the hotel room alone. Supper is no longer on her mind.
Whatcha looking at I don’t need your pity!!!! *wipes away angry tears
The next morning, she actually carries me in hand while we head to the airport. I deduce that the dwarf is worried she won’t have time for lunch and she commends herself for having the foresight to buy ramen which she can then eat before boarding the plane back to KL.
She and her friends dodder around for a little while, getting their boarding passes and their baggage checked in. I relax on my perch.
She even takes this photo of me, saying that this is a Traveling Instant Noodle and maybe she will just keep me and take pictures of me in different places. I feel better than I have since I left Don Quijote.
Then there is silence.
Bitch left me on the check in counter!!!!!!!!!!!!

One of my favorite things about the US is the reality tv. 😀
I used to watch so much TV at college! Angela and I had a TV in our room and I used to vege out in front of it watching program after program. I wouldn’t even get up to pee cos I’d watch all the commercials too hahahaha I really think Malaysian marketers could learn a thing or two from US ads. :X
But I digress.
When I got back to Malaysia, I stopped watching TV as much. I was very busy with work, and having so much going on in my life, I thought I just outgrew TV. Everything I needed was online anyway.
Then this past couple of months when I came back to the US, I discovered I was wrong. Oh how foolish I was wtf.
It wasn’t that I outgrew TV, it was because there’s nothing like American reality tv back in Malaysia. :3
Even if I spend a few weeks here a time, most of my nights would be spent catching up on these shows.
Right now embarrassingly I’m hooked to Extreme Makeover House edition type shows and every other show on HGTV (please kill me now it stands for Home and Garden TV fml so auntie)
So it greatly interested me to find out about a Malaysian/Asian reality TV show called The Apartment Style Edition Home Make over TV show.

The Apartment pits eight pairs against each other in a series of challenges all involving designing spaces of an apartment, so it really tests the contestants on creativity, ability to work together, smarts, etc.

Three days never wash hair! I also dunno what I did cos usually by second day I cannot take it anymore. Probably the dry environment and SF maybe has very clean air also but my hair felt clean so I figured why waste time, effort and shampoo? LOL.
When I told Fatty he acted very disgusted but please lo sleep next to me for 3 nights also didn’t realize!
But this post is not about my hair. It’s about mini golf.
Not content with being thrashed on the putting mat in our room, Fatty challenged me to a game of mini golf.
(Is there mini golf anywhere in Malaysia? I figure it’d be too hot to play for long anyway.)
This is only the second time I’ve played mini golf – first being back when I was a sophomore in college – and it’s Fatty’s first time ever.

It was a beautiful day. 😀 Super warm and sunny with cold breeze, so perfect weather for being outside. Except as usual I was terrified of getting dark/getting pigmentation spots so I brought along my trusty sunblock and kept slapping lotion on wtf.
The miniature lake. If you get your ball in the lake you need to start again. Fatty got his ball in there twice.
Fatty trying to hit his ball into the mouth of the statue. If you get it in I think you automatically get a hole in one cos the mouth will funnel your ball out near to the hole. But very challenging one cos there are moving doors in the mouth so if you hit it at the wrong time, the doors deflect the ball!

Yalah I know! I didn’t know we were playing golf until half hour before when we spontaneously decided, hence the shoes.
Depending on where your ball ends up, there are different holes that the ball may go into which will then funnel the ball to different places. So there’s a hole under the barrel which funnels the ball closest to the goal hole. I used the Secret and my ball went right under the barrel!
But I heard that a lot of golfers use this visualization method and it works. I wonder how!

This one got cornering one please. I think this part I took like 7 shots to get the ball into the hole cos I kept missing fml hahahah.
But Fatty even worse! His Achilles heel was a course where the hole was basically in the middle of a huge crater shape. So you had to hit the ball hard enough that it goes up the crater, but not hard enough that it overshoots and rolls down the opposite side of the crater.
He took 15 shots to get his ball in. HAHAHAHAH.
Then later on, there was ANOTHER crater FHL. He took 10 for that one.
In the end….
I won.
By 9 strokes.
Without any distracting chicken dances.
To be fair I think Fatty was just unlucky and on normal days he would probably beat my pants off.
But for now, I enjoy.
Instead of getting started on a new blog post like I was supposed to, I ended up on Facebook, browsing the profiles of pregnant friends and new mothers.
Just half an hour ago, I was strolling down the hallway of the Plug & Play Center which is where the US NuffnangX office is, with Fatty & Lilian and it caught me that here I was, in another country, AWAY from my parents, WITH my new husband.
(I have a husband. I have a hooman of my own! That’s still sometimes unfathomable to me.)
It’s been eight years since I left home for college but every once in a while I still give a start and wonder where my parents are, like when I was a kid and worried I would somehow lose them.
And today my friends and peers are having babies and being parents themselves!?
I can’t help thinking that if I was pregnant, I’d likely put Fatty through hell. I can’t carry this. I want to eat this NOW. Why are you doing this? Don’t you care about me!? Or.. We have to go shopping because it makes the baby happy. Hahahahaha.
But that’s the worst of my thoughts. In high school, pregnancy seemed like a nightmare. Now its like an interesting journey I probably don’t mind taking, although I have to remind myself that a baby is not the same as a puppy.
It would be nice to have a tiny little baby with my eyes holding my finger in its fist. But then it will cry in the middle of the night.
It would be nice to have a little child to dress in miniature versions of adult clothes. But then it would poop indiscriminately.
It would be nice to feel like my life had a bigger purpose than buoying through it with nothing to worry about besides looking pretty. But then I would never have the time to look pretty again.
The center of my universe would change, and drastically. Even Fatty would be second place. But I would teach and grow it and show it the world.
All these thoughts… When did I get old!?
P/S: I am not pregnant!!! I was just thinking.
PP/S: I doubt Fat Her & Mumsy are ready to take on the mantle of grandparenthood yet either. Hahahahha.
Just a quick update from the Bay area again!
This time, instead of San Francisco itself, we’re staying in Sunnyvale because it’s nearer to where Fatty needs to be, so we don’t need to make the drive down from SF everyday.
And this time, Fatty’s been busier so we’ve mostly been around the Sunnyvale/Mountain View/Cupertino area only and not really doing any touristy stuff. Anyway I think we’ve done most of the normal SF tourist stuff already *jaded wtf
Our daily lives are so suburban American man!!! Drive everywhere, free parking, eat pho or In N Out, wear pajamas outside….

Went to visit the USS Hornet (some old aircraft carrier from WWII) which has been converted into a military/airforce museum, much to Fatty’s orgasmic delight and to my jaw-numbing boredom.
Never seen him so happy at a museum so okla I follow him! Also never seen myself so bored at a museum lolol. Yawned till I got running nose WTF.
I think it’s because I love reading the signs at musuems and I didn’t understand every other word on the plaques here. ಠ_ಠ Too much military terminology!

I never buy brushes because what’s wrong with my fingers wtf. But I don’t regret it cos brushes do make a lot of difference to my makeup now! Application is more even and less patchy and no foundation residue left on my fingers.

Said this on Twitter already but say it again la. I’m not a very gadget-y person – my iphone was sponsored from Maxis, my computer is a hand-me-down from Fatty, and I never wanted an ipad, mostly because I didn’t think there was anything I couldn’t do with my phone that I could with an ipad. It doesn’t address any needs of mine so it’s more of a nice to have, than a must have.
That said, the Surface seems to suit my needs! Small and light enough to carry around easily, got USB port so I can plug in my external hdd which I bring everywhere anyway, quite easy to use compared to Android, and got keyboard for easy blogging! Which is what I really want it for. :3
That, and doing work on the go which I can cos it comes with Microsoft Office!
I’m actually using it to blog this right now! Not bad not bad.
The only thing is, I really wanted the pink touch keyboard but typing on it sucks and would defeat the purpose of getting it. T3T I may like mode but black gadgets are still ugly. Anyone know where I can get a pink keyboard cover for it!
So that’s my week!
One last update about Foruchizu!
The launch is happening 30 Nov at Isetan KLCC and Cheesie and I will probably be there to check things and say hi if you’re there!

It’s quite exciting – this whole Isetan X Foruchizu collaboration is really coming together. ^__^

We also did a shoot for ViVi, part of it was for Foruchizu and some of Isetan’s other Japanese brands.
I always thought that between the three traditional glamorous jobs – acting, singing and modeling, modeling sounded the worst lolol.
I’ve never considered modeling and even when Cheesie and Bobo always go for shoots I thought yea, they’d be good at it cos they’re both quite feminine and graceful. I’m always either bursting into laughter or day dreaming so I dunno how to keep a straight face for when modeling. Plus I’m quite clumsy and physically awkward and have the grace of a duck which makes me very self conscious.
While I’ve learned over the years to pose a bit better when taking pics for my blog, my default standing position is standing with legs apart and arms hanging loosely down my sides wtf. While my default sitting position is either remove shoes and sit cross legged, or cross legs like a man, or legs up like a trishaw cyclist wtf.
So I was damn nervous when it came down to this. Like nervous until heart beat DUP DUP DUP wtf. But glad I got out of my comfort zone and did it! Although dunno how well I did la.
