Floral maxi, worn once. Ruffle is detachable and can be worn under the armpits, one sided, or over the shoulders.
Blog tshirts lol. Got it with Cheesie and Xiaxue because it was relevant to us but never wore it again, and even then I think I wore it for two hours max.

Today Imma talk about periods. And women’s feelings. Lolol. Male readers (all five of you), feel free to exit now.
What kinda PMS symptoms do you experience? Because I’m off my PCOS pill which regulates hormones, I get more breakouts now T_______T *shakes fist at world
That’s actually about it for me wtf. I used to get worse cramps but not so much anymore. I don’t get bigger or sore boobs (sad), nor bloating. No mood swings either, although some months I might cry easier while watching movies wtf.
Most of the time I think I’m more man than woman wtf. I don’t get upset over trivial matters, and if I do get upset I forget in five minutes. For serious issues, I might stay upset longer but if you apologize I immediately become ok. Fml.
But that doesn’t mean I don’t like talking about my feelings! I am still a woman ok lol. I love analyzing every single detail of anything that happens with my girlfriends, or discussing the motivation behind this person’s action, or something female like that.
Like yesterday! Suetpants and I were talking about government policies and if it was Fatty and his friends, it would stop there, but Suet and I explored the entire realm of it from how the policies made us feel, our decisions and thoughts based on it, and how it was going to affect our personal futures. Lolol.
Men, you are totally missing out btw! I read a quote once about how one of the best things a man could do for his health is to be married to a woman (AHEM), whereas for a woman one of the best things she could do for her health is to have girlfriends. Somehow marriage stabilizes men, and married men have lower heart disease rates.
Women share feelings whereas men often form relationships around activities. They rarely sit down with a buddy and talk about how they feel about certain things or how their personal lives are going. Jobs? Yes. Sports? Yes. Cars? Yes. But their feelings?–rarely. Women do it all of the time. We share from our souls with our sisters, and apparently that is very good for our health. 😀

The other day I was invited to a Sharp workshop alongside Cheesie, Sixthseal and Red Mummy.
This was the day I had no GPS and got lost for one hour because my directions are terrible like that T_______T I felt so horrible being late haih T____T Sharp team please forgive me!!
Luckily I got there to still catch the bulk of it. If you didn’t already know, Sharp has developed a range of beauty products using Plasmacluster Ion Technology. They call it Beauty but it’s really also related to Health!
Tell you how it works. Quite interesting one!
In nature, positive and negative ions are released naturally due to natural processes. (I’m aware there’s three ‘nature’s in this sentence.) These ions are good and below I tell you why!
Ions are more present in natural surroundings than cities because of all the pollution we have. So basically we’re living in an environment devoid of these ions which can be harmful to our health.
The Sharp Plasmacluster Ion technology uses plasma discharge to break airborne water molecules into positive and negative ions! These ions collect water molecules around them and form “clusters” called hydroxyl radicals.
The hydroxyl radicals are very unstable so they will try to grab hydrogen molecules from any airborne contaminant they meet (dust, dust mites, virus, bacteria, etc) to stabilize themselves, thus destroying the contaminant D:
And tadah you get clean, non-dry air!

The Sharp rep sprayed ammonia on a tissue, then a special chemical to show the presence of the ammonia (normally it’s clear). He also made Huai Bin sniff the tissue to be sure hahaha. It smells of stale pee wtf.
Then he held it above the ionizer.
Within seconds the ammonia faded off the tissue! Then he let us smell and there was NO SMELL left D: D:

Then the Sharp rep demonstrated their Hair Dryer.
Comes in pink and white, good market research, guys. Lol.
It’s no secret that hair dryers can really damage your hair but bo pian what to do! I usually try to minimize the damage by blowing my hair with cold air but it doesn’t really help much. With normal dryers, water molecules evaporate off the hair and the hair becomes dry. 🙁
But with Sharp’s Plasmacluster hair dryer, it releases ions which capture water molecules on the hair surface, and hair moisture is retained!
Moisturized hair is healthier and more manageable hair. No more dry damaged hair and split ends!
They did a live demonstration on us!
Got my hair washed first. There’s nothing like getting your hair washed and styled. ^^
They split out hair into two, then blew each section dry with a regular dryer and a Sharp dryer to compare the difference.
My hair is really really fine and thin so no obvious difference is discernible in pictures. However, I could feel the difference when I ran my fingers through both sections – the section dried by regular dryer would have little kinks and slight tangles which stopped my fingers, but the Sharp-dried hair was totally smooth and the hair parted so easily!

Just realized I haven’t blogged about our Tokyo trip!
About two weeks ago I took a super rushed two day trip to Tokyo to meet up with #addiction for a secret Foruchizu mission.
Super rushed la until I only brought along one teeny carryon bag with ONE suit of clothes. Regretted it immensely when at the end of the trip I had to sit on my bag to zip it shut. Lolol.
Anyway we will reveal what we have in store for Foruchizu in a couple of weeks. Very excited!

Seriously I gave them all my money wtf. Each turn was 500yen each so I kept going to change my paper notes to 500yen coins. Changed until I felt pai seh cos the guy at the counter kept seeing me go up and change.
Such a cool fashionable event and I act like sua ku aih.

It was really eye-opening actually getting a look into the Japanese fashion industry! My religion is Japanese fashion but I don’t really keep up with the people (models, producers, etc) involved in the industry so I was a bit blur dunno who is everyone. But still awesome! Why I blogged this now is because… we are flying to Japan again next week! Going off on a Taiwan + Japan trip with Cheesie, Wendy and Qiuqiu on Wednesday! Feeling super lucky and blessed now ^^
So this all happened within the same day.
Car accident
I got into my first car accident which involved another human being, and not just a wall, or gate. Or boulder.
Anyway for some reason, the government decided to close the roads near our house for an event on a weekday -_- I also dunno why don’t ask so much insanity can be infectious wtf.
Anyway because of it, 5 lanes of cars had to detour and squeeze into two lanes and there I was, cursing and struggling with the best of them.
I was inching along, when I suddenly saw that I was dangerously close to this car in front of me who was also to my left. My heart jumped and I hurriedly stomped on the brakes.
So hard that the impact disguised the fact that I’d actually already hit the car when I jammed on the brakes. T_______T
The car in front of me proceeded to veer a bit to the side of the road and parked. The guy in it got out, and inside my own car, I bitched at him for being such an inconsiderate asshole stopping on the road, as though there’s not enough cars jamming the road already WTF.
To give you a little background to our positions, his car was on the left edge of the road and my car was to the right of him. So when he got out of his car (we’re right hand drive, foreign readers), he tried to squeeze past my car, to get to the back to view the damage.
I still didn’t know I’d hit him. He was signaling to me to stop my car, but I tsked him and continued trying to inch past him. I thought he was trying to get me to stop so he could walk safely without my car cornering him and I thought, what a selfish bastard. HAHAHAHAHA.
He finally lost patience and slammed his palm on my car bonnet, shouting STOP YOUR CAR!!!! after I managed to nudge him in the thighs with the nose of my car.
I shouldn’t laugh but… HAHAHAHAHAHHA. I don’t know what he did in his past life to deserve meeting me.
He signaled furiously to me to wind down my car window. Truth be told, I was already angry at being shouted at, and a little scared after Ooib and Sherlyn’s episode and reading so many horror stories of road hijackings that I didn’t want to roll down my window at all. But traffic was at a standstill so I thought I’d better see what he wanted.
I rolled my window down ONE INCH and yelled, “WHAT!?”
He said, “YOU HIT MY CAR!!!”
I said, “Oh. Really?”
So that was my first ever accident! We settled it and I’m a few hundred bucks poorer now aih.
To be fair, there wasn’t even a dent! I must have braked the moment I hit him so there was hardly any damage, just some scratches to the paint. And when I rubbed the flakes on my car later, they fell off right away. But ok la my fault I shaddup.
Supergluing my hands
Hi these were my hands on Friday night.
I was opening a new tube of Superglue to glue back the bow of my Hello Kitty hipster frames.
1. I didn’t even want the frames T.T It was a present from a blogshop
2. When the frames arrived, the bow had already fallen off wtf.
3. Decided to fix the bow back and ended up spilling glue all over my hands AND the carpet.
DIY project is so not worth it wtf. I ended up throwing the frames away.
I was so surprised by all the glue I didn’t know what to do! I ended up wiping my hands on my legs from habit WTF.
So I had glue on my hands, the carpet AND my legs. Don’t know what I did in my past life to be reborn with this brain.
It was so much that my fingers were totally coated with it! When I put my hands under running water, I couldn’t feel the water at all WTF because the glue had become a sort of glove. D:
So this was my Friday night activity ^^
Did you know Superglue BURNS carpets though!? I looked down to see the patch of carpet fizzing and bubbling WTF. I reached down to pinch the bubbles and burst them but they were hot! Burned me even through my glue-coated fingers dammit. I guess this is what is called a chemical burn?
Fatty was totally unflappable throughout though! When I got into the accident, I called him and told him and he just said “okay.” When I Superglued my hands, he just sighed and went off to google ‘superglue removal methods’.
Kids, always remember – marry a man with a high tolerance for dumbness.

This was taken at the Aesthetics office where I go for facial treatments!
I was late for my appointment so I ran into the building and this man in the elevator kindly held the door open for me.
Me (finger hovering over floor buttons): “Three or four leh… is it third or fourth floor…”
I decide that I’d just gamble and push the button for third floor.
When the doors open for second floor (the man’s floor), I automatically step out wtf because I’m idiotic like that. I’ve lost count the number of times I step out at wrong floors. And whoever is with me will automatically step out with me too LOLOL don’t trust me please.
Anyway the guy stares at me perplexed because I pushed three but got out of two.
Man: “I think this is my floor.”
I hurriedly step back into the lift while he steps out, still staring at me like he thinks I shouldn’t be on my own wtf.
Me: “This is your floor! My floor is upstairs! BYE.”
Then I give him a big wave and smile and jab at the Close Door button. Anything to get him going wtf. If earlier he didn’t think I was crazy, after this I probably sealed my own fate.
Clearly I made enough of an impression that after I got into Aesthetics and was sitting in the waiting area, waiting for my beautician, the man appears at the door and gestures at me.
The receptionist turns to me and asks, “Is he your friend?”
The man, from behind her, says hesitantly, “Um can I have your number?”
Inwardly, I’m thinking MAN I’VE STILL GOT IT. WILL THIS CURSE OF BEING CUTE EVER END? Outwardly, I say self-righteously, “CANNOT. I’M MARRIED.” And brandish my ring finger at him for good measure.
He pauses and with the same bewildered look, says, “no no you’re wrong I just think you can be a good ambassador for my product. Chinese medicine.” WTF.
I say, “oh”. Then I slap my own knee and laugh. The beautician and receptionist and the man remain poker faced. FML.
Yep, skills for embarrassing myself. I’ve still got it.
After we got married, I had quite a few people asking what our next step was.
Are we going to have a baby soon? Are we buying a new place/moving somewhere new?
The answer to both is no, not yet.
You think babies grow on trees ah!
And while I would love to have our own place and style it up any way I like (everything white wood and pink fabric… F Fatty’s L), it’s not an option because money doesn’t grow on trees either hahaha. We’re staying in the apartment that Fatty has been living in all the while and it’s actually pretty nice even though it’s old! It’s cosy and suits us for now especially cos it’s just the two of us and no babies yet.
But when we do save up enough money, and when eventually more people enter our family (ahem), we will of course want to move!
I got Fatty to name the kinda things he’d want in a home if we ever get one, and I’d name my must-have features too. We got same tastes so far!!! 😀
My future home must have:
- High ceilings – so it looks spacious even if it’s not really! And probably would have a lot of natural light too.
- A pool and gym!! – so I can uhhh exercise if ever the urge overcomes me
- Walk in closet – Do I need to explain further? :3
- Big bathroom for master bedroom – I love hotel bathrooms that are big enough to corner off the toilet bowl and can fit two sinks! I already identified this as must have pls!!!
Then these are Fatty’s requirements:
- Gated community – oh good point. Tight security is crucial today in Malaysia :X
- Enough room for a study – so he can have his desk and computer and everything away from the bedroom
- a lot of natural light and big windows – yea big windows would be gorgeous!
No harm keeping track of properties in KL and prices right now to be a savvy buyer later. *struts around
I was invited to the Nusmetro event last week which focused on their new development Arte @ Subang West! Unfortunately I couldn’t attend but I still went to have a look at their brochures and pictures.

Gym, check. Like the huge windows overlooking into greenery. I hope they keep all that lush greenery around!
Yes and of course there will be a pool. An infinity pool AND an Aqua Gym, no less. This is gorgeous!
And jacuzzi. I love it when there are cute little details like the round stone steps and that the jacuzzi looks like a stone pot. Makes me feel like a kid hahaha.
Rooftop lounge for residents to chill! This is absolutely breathtaking! Better than Sky Bar cos if you drink wine there you don’t need to drink and drive home hahahaha.
The view is overlooking Subang! Can say hi to my parents lolol.
One of the very attractive features for me is the location. It’s located right next to the Federal Highway so it’s definitely very accessible and is extremely near to Subang Jaya. Can go back to my parents’ house anytime!!
I was very interested in what the units look like but could only find a couple of pictures 🙁
The units will be duplexes (meaning each unit has two storeys) which is a big plus point because it means there will be lotsa space! Enough for a couple or a growing family I’d expect.
And with duplexes you nearly always get high ceilings! And floor to ceiling windows!

As a supportive girlfriend wife Shorty, it’s entirely in my responsibility to tell you what Nuffnang X is. Ahem.
Ok so when we were in the Bay area, I hinted that we were there not just for our honeymoon but because Fatty had work to do.
Actually our honeymoon was supposed to be in Florida (Disneyworld!!!) but because Fatty had to go to Silicon Valley, we decided to just make it one trip and save money wtf.
In fact, we weren’t actually even in San Fran most of the time. We were in like San Jose, Sunnyvale and Mountain View because that’s where Silicon Valley is (I think wtf).
Anyway the project Fatty was working on was just unveiled yesterday as NuffnangX.
In a nutshell, NuffnangX is an application for reading and communicating on blogs. The easiest analogy is NuffnangX is Instagram for blogs.
For the last ten years, technology and social media has evolved rapidly, but blogging stayed pretty stagnant. Sure, there’s Tumblr and whatever else similar platforms, but no new innovations to longform blogging (which is what this blog is! Full of longwinded stories!). Fatty and his partner Ming felt that this needed to change, and NuffnangX was born.
For months, Fatty has been in turn excited, nervous, worried and preoccupied with this. Until I also scared for him. I think people will love it, but hope for the best, expect the worst right? Especially because Fatty has invested so much of his time, energy, and money into this – right now the stakes are skyscraper high. If fail we eat grass for a few years. HAHAHAHAH.
The night before the launch, he tossed and turned, and whenever he cannot sleep, he’ll invariably smack the bed repeatedly I HAVE NO FREAKING IDEA WHY and because of that I won’t be able to sleep either. -______- I knew he was nervous.
But so far, response has been really encouraging! The NuffnangX team has been receiving tons of constructive criticism; I think they’re working around the clock literally to fix all the bugs users are detecting, and make improvements. Thanks for all the feedback and keep ’em coming!
Favorite apps! Ok fine I don’t play TripleTown anymore wtf. When Fatty first gave me beta testing access to the app, he kept asking me if I was addicted to it wtf. Hahahah tbh I wasn’t at that time because we were in the US with intermittent Edge connection (slowpoke!) and NOBODY was on NuffnangX, and for me, communication and social elements are always key factors as to whether I’ll love an app. So there was nothing to keep me pulled back to the app. But after launch, it was a different story.
I think I’m addicted hahaha :X
Here’s what you can do with NuffnangX.
1) Follow blogs you love
At first I was like what’s different about this from Google Reader? Well, you can follow blogs that you love just like you follow people on Twitter or Instagram. You can also comment on them, heart them, or share them.

Copied from Fatty’s blog: This is where it differs from a traditional reader. Now traditional readers normally pull the title of a blog and then its first paragraph. We felt though that one paragraph is still too long for people to decide whether they want to read a blog or not on a mobile phone. So we developed an algorithm that will crawl through an entire blog and pick the one most interesting line of the blog entry to display on the app.
So for Wendy’s pregnancy post, this is the line extracted from it so you can decide if you wanna read it. And yes she’s pregnant!!!!!!! I AM SO EXCITED AND HAVE BEEN KEEPING QUIET FOR MONTHS OUT OF RESPECT FOR HER PRIVACY BUT SINCE SHE REVEALED IT I CAN SAY I SO HAPPY AND EXCITED FOR HER. Ok end.
2) NuffnangX Conversations
Again quoting Fatty: The other cool feature about NuffnangX that probably hasn’t been properly discovered by a lot of users yet is NuffnangX Conversations. This feature we hope will change the way people leave comments on blogs and respond to them. Traditionally if you want to leave a comment on a blog, you fill up a form and then you leave a comment there. When a blogger wants to respond to it, he/she leaves a another comment herself like this.
That is one of the most frustrating things about making comments or responding to comments.
What NuffnangX conversations does is that it lumps comments into conversation threads.
So when you leave a comment on my blog via the NuffnangX Conversations plugin below OR via the NuffnangX app, I will get a notification on my phone. When I get that, I can reply your comment from my phone and you will then get a notification on your phone (if you used your NuffnangX account to comment). Commenting on blogs then become a very direct conversation with bloggers and bloggers can reply comments now when they’re on a bus or waiting for an elevator.
I’ve just installed the NuffnangX conversations on my blog here!!! Try it!!
3) Discovery
Fatty: There are millions of great blogs out there all over the world. Many blogs that you would be interested to read but you just don’t know how to find them. Up till today there still isn’t a really easy way to find good fashion blogs or tech blogs or even sports blogs. We hope to change that in NuffnangX. To make it easy for people to find new blogs in categories they’re interested in. I for example am really interested in technology, gadgets and celebrity news so NuffnangX has helped me find and follow blogs I wish I knew existed before.
NuffnangX is available for download at the App Store and whatever the app store in Android is called. Hahahaha.
If you’re a blogger, go download it, sign up and start using! You will however have to go to nuffnangx.com on your computer to claim your blog first. Claiming means you are identifying yourself as owner of the blog, and will have access to your followers, can set up the commenting system on your blog, and interact.
If you don’t blog but read blogs, download it and add your favorite blogs and let the stalking begin wtf.

Japanese bloggers tend to blog a lot like a few posts a day. On Google reader they’d pile up and I’d end up not reading, but on NNX it works for the best! I know when they’ve updated and because of the frequency, I always have something to read on my phone.

This is the story of how I ended up on this dining table.
I was chilling in my freezer one day (CHILLING IN MY FREEZER HAHAHAHA GEDDIT I SO WITTY) when suddenly the glass sky above it opened, and a very prettily manicured hand reached down and grabbed me!
My brothers and sisters already warned me that this is not alien abduction and just a normal part of our lives so I stayed cool (HAHAHAHA) and prepared to meet my new owner.
There she is! Whatever did I do to deserve such a awesome and cute owner? Like attracts like I guess ^^
Oooh so fast she took off my clothes!!!! This relationship is moving fast.
I’m covered with a smooth rich shell of Belgian chocolate studded with chunks of dark chocolate. I look all tough but inside I’m just a softie, filled with soft yummy cappucino icecream. *shy.

I’m having a terrible cold right now but die also must write this.
Fatty was in Manila for a couple of days so I went back to the Oois. After dinner, Mumsy Ooi asked Ooib to go out to the nearby Shell and get her a loaf of bread so Ooib and Sherlyn decided to take a walk there.
I was chilling in the living room bickering with Fat Her over wedding photos when I heard the doorknob being turned and Sherlyn’s laugh.
Then Ooib appeared with his face all pale, and Sherlyn followed holding on to him, sobbing.
She was actually crying, not laughing. *beats own head
Ooib said with his face all pale and blank, “We were nearly robbed.”
It turned out that when they were walking back from the petrol station (which is like a 5 minute walk away), they saw two men on a motorcycle approaching them. The bike passed them…. then made a U turn and drove up to them again.
One of the guys on the bike asked my brother what time it was.
Ooib, sensing something amiss, replied “jalan lah jalan.” (“just keep moving”)
The one riding pillion took out a stick and brandished it at them D: Ooib said it was about 3 feet long wtf.
I think at this point Sherlyn tried to pull Ooib to run, but one of the guys (not sure which) grabbed Ooib’s tshirt and they struggled like that for a while. It could have been at this point that Sherlyn fell down.
Who knows what would have happened next if a white car did not zoom up from behind and ram into the fuckers!!!!! D:
Ooib and Sherlyn grabbed the chance to run for their lives.
They got home panting and that’s how my parents and I saw them. They were physically unhurt but shaken. Sherlyn couldn’t stop crying for like a half hour and Ooib was just quiet and forced.
Maybe because I wasn’t personally involved but I harbor much more anger towards our government than the robbers. Jail those two fuckers and two more will pop up right away to take their place! The root of the problem is socio-economic after all.
And what have our authorities been doing? Why, claiming that crime has dropped in Malaysia for the past few years, that’s what. Then how is it that each and every Malaysian has at least a personal involvement or knows a person who has had firsthand experience in a crime? And that’s underrating it. I myself have had my phone pickpocketed twice already. Both times also while clubbing fts.
Sure, statistics show that “safety” in Malaysia has increased, while “crime” has dropped. But grassroots information show otherwise lor. There are a lot of questionable variables involved which could have grossly impacted the stats, like underreporting of crime, biased parties involved in data gathering, mis-definition of the terms “safety” and “crime”.
I paraphrase this article I found here where it delves into the safety claims the authorities are making.
CLAIM #1: Malaysia is #1 safest in 19 middle income countries, #12 safest overall, ahead of USA and Britain (World Justice Project)
What I understand is that the World Justice Project (WJP) uses an index called Rule of Law Index which is not meant to measure safety but rather the compliance with the rule of law.
Meaning they look at factors like corruption, limited government powers, effective justice system, among others. IT’S HOW WELL MALAYSIA AS A COUNTRY FOLLOWS RULES, NOTHING TO DO WITH OUR SAFETY.
According to the article, the poll refers to Malaysia as an “upper middle income” country which we are clearly not, so the data collection also does not seem balanced.
CLAIM #2: Malaysia is #1 safest and most peaceful country in South East Asia, #4 safest and peaceful in Asia Pacific, #19 safest and peaceful globally.
to again summarize the article, GPI is used in the study of the relative Peacefulness of a Country and not of a Country’s safety levels. It looks at 23 indicators ranging from a nation’s level of military expenditure to its relations with neighbouring countries and the level of respect for human right
Out of 23 indicators, only 2 deal with crime:
(i) Perceived Criminality in Society; and
(ii) Violent Crime.
Malaysia’s “good” rankings in the GPI can be attributed to the 12 of the 23 indicators which were given scores of 1.0 which included but were not limited to items such as access to weapons, terrorist acts, UN Peacekeeping funding, heavy weapons, weapons exports, displaced people and so forth.
CLAIM #3: Index crime fell by 10.1% (between Jan – May 2012)
According to an anonymous source from the police (source here), crime is divided into two categories. One is ‘Index Crime’ and the other is ‘Non-Index Crime’. Stats announced by the police are only those cases under the ‘index crime’ category.
‘Index crime’ is defined as crime which is reported often enough and with sufficient significance to be meaningful as an index to the crime situation. Essentially, it means the index is the yardstick to gauge the crime situation of a given place, the district, state or the whole country. The index crime statistics will show whether the crime has increased, decreased or moving constantly.
‘Non-index crime’ on the other hand is considered as minor cases and does not occur with such rampancy to warrant its inclusion into the crime statistics or as a benchmark to determine the crime situation. Basically any weird once in a lifetime case from what I understand?
‘Index crime’ is divided into two categories. One is ‘Violent Crime’ and the other is ‘Property Crime’.
‘Violent Crime’ comprises of – you know it – violent crime. Murder; rape; armed robbery with accomplice; robbery with accomplice; armed robbery; robbery; and causing hurt. Meanwhile ‘property crime’ comprises theft; car theft; motorcycle theft; heavy vehicle theft; snatch theft; and burglary. These are the crimes used as statistics to portray the crime situation.
In 2009, the government came up with the ‘Government Transformation Programme’ (GTP) and ‘crime’ was amongst the ‘National Key Result Area’ (NKRA). The Key Performance Index (KPI, or indicator of success) set for the police on the 27 July 2009 under the NKRA was to reduce crime by 20%.
That tall order to reduce crime by 20% was a dilemma for the police. The police knew that the demand is idealistic but not feasible to be achieved. Any criminologist will tell that crime is the product of socio-economic factors and the police being a part of the criminal justice system cannot alone tackle this issue.
According to the fella, the police then came up with an ingenious way of achieving the target.
As said earlier, crime stats consist of only the index crime. Hence, they gradually lowered the crime statistics by shifting the index crime to the non-index crime. The shifting is done at the time the police report is lodged. The classification of the crime from index to non-index will be captured in the police reporting system as ‘non-index’ and thus not registering it as an index crime for the purposes of statistics. Lowering the index crime will show that the particular crime is on the decline.
On this line, it is entirely possible that the police also discourage lodging of reports. Like when we called the police following Ooib’s encounter, they came very promptly but were quite lackadaisical about us going to the station to file a report. They were like, “up to you la, mau ke tak mau. Nak pergi esok pun boleh…” [up to you if you want to. Even if you want to go tomorrow, that’s ok.] OF COURSE GO LA THEN.

Now I’m not presuming to say that yea our crime stats are bullshit. But I’m inclined to believe that there is hanky panky going on here lor. What is any Malaysian supposed to do given all the crime stories we hear and experience ourselves!?
Then they blame it on the media who are reporting criminal cases and scaring the public. Hello isn’t that what the media is supposed to do!!!!! And bitch please, most of the stories we hear firsthand from friends la no media also we’d still hear about all this. And rightfully so, or else how are we going to take steps to be careful or protect ourselves?
Seriously wtf la. It’s common sense what. If you don’t see that there’s a problem, how can you ever begin to fix things? Najib/Idris Jala, Y UR MOTHERS NO TEACH U THIS?
Anyway, Mumsy Ooi was so thankful that no harm came to them that she made us all put joss sticks and pray immediately wtf.
We really wanted to find the driver of the white car who saved Ooib and Sherlyn and thanks to the beauty of Facebook, mutual friends and readers found him for us!!!
His exact words taken off FB were:
“Guys, please be safe and don’t walk around the neighborhood at night alone or even if u r not alone, try to avoid walking and be aware of your surroundings especially while driving. I was driving home from work around our school area, and I saw two indian men on
a motorbike went to a couple who were walking together, one of them with a parang, tried to rob them or god know what. It was a split second and coincidentally I was there, so without thinking, I accelerated fast towards them, and pressed the emergency brake just before hitting all of them so that the indian fuckers could back off. One threw a helmet at my car, and another rode away. So I chased the fucker who was on the bike, leaving another fucker with the parang behind. So I chased him and he went into 18/2A, lost his balance, and fell off in front of a house. I didn’t brake in time, so I had to go down further and make a uturn. The fucker left the bike there and ran away. I couldn’t stop them cos they crossed the main road to SS19. I called 50 and they came almost immediately, for once, thanks pdrm. They took the bike away to the station. I hope the couple managed to run away safely, cos I couldn’t find them when I went back to the scene. Please be safe guys.”
Turned out he was a boy from my primary and secondary school!!! If you live around the area, you probably went to my school lol.
