Whooo time to post more photos from Bangkok first.
A lot of it is our shiok sendiri camho pictures but bear with me! Not everyday I get to wear makeup wtf. *sad
First let me show you this Huiwen.
When we arrived in Bangkok airport she pulled her suitcase off the baggage carousel.
Then she inspected it and suddenly said, “Shit this is not my suitcase!” And hefted it back onto the carousel while we snapped photos and laughed at her for being so noob hahahaha.
But then after that we waited until all the bags were nearly gone and still don’t have her bag! And she realized the bag she threw back WAS her bag after all WTF.
But it was nowhere to be seen! Had someone else taken her suitcase?
Sharp eyed Bobo suddenly realized that when Huiwen threw her suitcase back, she simply throw so when the bag went under the rubber flaps like below, it fell off the carousel onto the floor outside WTF.
So Huiwen had to stick her head through the rubber flaps and pull out her bag HAHAHAHA DAMN UGLY LOOKING PLEASE.
Anyway on to Day 2.
Woke up to our breakfast of Hokkaido milk from Paragon. <3
Our outfits of the day. Audfit is RM10 tank top from Asiatique, smiley face shorts from Jouetie, hairband from WC.
Bobo and I ended up with matching outfits! Cos we were dying in the heat the day before so we pulled out the most cooling outfits we could find. Which is tank top and shorts/skirt. While Huiwen is always the most lady like of us see her outfit like taitai from Rome wtf.
First stop, Chatuchak! Seven years ago, Angela and I (and the three angry white men) came to Chatuchak and stumbled upon this stall and ate there.
This time we passed by it and something clicked cos I remember really liking the food here and made the other two eat with me again.
Chicken and herbal soup noodles! OMG I think now also salivating. *uses cup to takung saliva
And on a hot day nothing tastes better than an icy Coke! Especially when it comes in a metal cup hehehe.
Cute pose picture.
Busy eating not so cute picture wtf.
My ice Coke in metal cup. <3
Then onward with the shopping! Huiwen needed to get stuff for her wedding so she was busy looking at flower headpieces and stuff.
Love this display! Soooo pretty and girly and creative! Ie. the huge rose and the MLP and daisy suitcase!! Also loved the clothes inside this shop. But didn’t love the prices wtf.
Wanted to try on a RM25 shorts but no changing room. The woman made me wear this sarong and change my pants inside. Halfway changing I saw the edges of the sarong were black and it was sweeping on the floor which means the whole cloth is probably dirty. And who knows how many sweaty people have worn this? T______________T I had to suppress the urge to fling it off me and escape pantless.
Shopping done and sweating approx 1.5 l each also done, our next stop was… Paragon for some more food and much needed aircon.
Told you a lot of selfies hor.
Come all the way to Bangkok to eat curry rice. Really yummy though!
Then after that we were on a mission: to hunt down the last pair of red Love Me Heart heels from Jeffrey Campbell in Bangkok.
Lemme show you what it looks like and you’ll understand.
Shoes, you will always be my first love.
There are only three places selling JC in Bangkok so we really went to all three wtf. Me and Huiwen both wanted a pair but she had to go to Asiatique again to pick up her wedding dress so we split up and I went with Bobo.
Saw 3D floor art on the way!
Eh Bobo lei mou ji sat ah wtf.
We never found the red shoes. I guess they’re plain sold out in Bangkok.
We did find these though. I fell hard for the plastic translucent boots but very hard to wear. T________T Not too difficult to match with outfits but cannot wear more than a few times cos everybody’d notice.
The shoes we both loved but didn’t buy. The ones that got away wtf.
People always assume that Fatty and I have the fairy tale marriage – that we’re always lovey dovey and we don’t fight.
HAHAHA. Don’t make me laugh wtf. The truth is, we fight like any other couple and that’s totally normal la! In fact, our most serious fights occurred during the first two years of our relationship.
See, Fatty is a romantic sort of guy. When he was going after me and after we started dating, he’d make all sorts of grand gestures of romance. Eg. shutting down a shoe store for me, buying a huge ass Hello Kitty doll and rushing all the way to my house to leave it in my room as a surprise… that kind of mushy sweet thing la HAHAHA.
I on the other hand, am damn cold wtf. I am the man in this relationship. I like reading romance novels as much as the next girl but when it comes to real life, I just drift through it doing my own thing. Committing great acts of love never occurred to me. I expected the standard boyfriend fare – go out with me, spend time together, have dinner that sort of thing but not much more. I definitely didn’t expect material presents either, so I never thought of reciprocating in any way.
So while he’d do all these big sweet things, I’d feel touched but also a bit overwhelmed and guilty that it hadn’t occurred to me first! Outside I’d be a bit awkward cos I never knew how to react to things like this. And then after it passed, I’d go back to being in my own world and keep swimming wtf.
So you could say I was like a jellyfish wtf. I didn’t think about big acts of love but I didn’t think about the little ones either. The small stuff like getting me a drink, or picking me up or if he couldn’t, arranging for someone else to drive me… all that I took in stride and then for granted.
So the fights started. Fatty would get upset cos he felt like he was thinking of me, doing everything for me, right down to buying tapau food for us, while I never seemed to lift a finger. He felt like he was doing all the work in the relationship while I was just chilling wtf. It was a tough time for us. At some points I even thought that this would be the issue that would break us up because it was just so damn hard for me to think in advance what he needed cos I don’t even think in advance what *I* myself needed. (That’s why suay things always happen to me la cos I don’t think wtf. Not really suay, just lack of preparation for everything.)
But relationships, especially marriage, is a partnership. It’s give and take equally, or at least at a level where both partners are comfortable with. So I slowly forced myself to change and think differently. Wah lau always get scolded you won’t change meh wtf. So I upped my game and he also relaxed his expectations and stopped doing big romantic gestures which pressured me wtf.
Which leads me to Fatty’s 30th birthday party this weekend!
Confirm five years ago I wouldn’t be able to pull this off. In fact the first surprise party I threw for him? It was a surprise all right. Cos when he arrived, nobody was there WTF.
HAHAHAHAHAH DAMN FUNNY LA NOW WHEN I SAY IT. But when it happened it definitely wasn’t hahahahaha.
Anyway this wasn’t a surprise. He wanted a big bash for his 30th so he knew I was planning it. But I think I’ve come a long way la! Seriously I am the worst organizer in the world so I think it’s safe to say I’ve come a long way from the first birthday hahaha.
Anyway let the pictures begin!
On the way to the party. We were 10 minutes late and quite a few friends were already there waiting. :X Sorry guys!

Really liked the effort the restaurant put in to do up the place. Cos I thought they’d only handle food ma hahaha so I was pleasantly surprised to see they did all these small details too.
We chose the Grind Burger Bar in Section 17 for the venue! We wanted a reasonable place with yummy food which also had nice ambience and was kid friendly (we brought Fighter there all the time)! You should note that it’s not halal but we really like the food there. The owners also super accommodating with our party!
(no it wasn’t sponsored.)
Theme of the night was… blue and gold wtf. Actually I had a tough time picking a theme. I really wanted to do a Mad Men theme (since we both work in advertising) but too hard la pretty sure nobody will dress in 60s theme… except Bobo wtf. And Mad Men seems to be about cigar(ettes) and liquor and not very child friendly (we were planning on bringing Fighter).
So in the end I just went with a color theme. Blue for Nuffnang and Churp Churp. And gold because we Chinese wtf.
Always wanted giant balloon numbers like these! I wanted to get the letters TIM too but these are like the most expensive balloons in the world. One costs RM60. T___________T
Got em from Balloon Buzz if anyone is interested. Lemme complain about the service a bit. I’ve been to the Pavilion branch a couple times and always the staff there seems quite lackadaisical and uninterested in doing business one. Not that they’re rude, they just seem like they couldn’t care less about your business.
Anyway I went there to order the balloons and they told me they didn’t have the number 3 but the Bangsar branch did. I asked if they could help me order and I’d go pick it up from Bangsar and they obliged.
Cos I know the staff there not passionate about their jobs at all I called Bangsar myself the next day to confirm if there really was an order under my name. They checked a bit and said ya got and I could pick it up the next day. So Jammie offered to help me pick them up on the way to the party but when she got there they told her no such order under my name WTF.
Luckily they had stock for the 30 la and pumped it up and gave it to her. But still! I already called to double check and they told me got! And even if don’t have my order but they have the balloons anyway, why can’t they just give JM the damn balloons without making a fuss! Why must they tell her no such order and make us all panick kns.
Anyway so much trouble for it plus so expensive better take more pictures wtf. With our couple friends Jo and Bobo!
More couple friends hahaha. Pierre and Lay See, and Juvyn and Janson.
I think we found the worst photographer in the world hahahah. Asked a staff to help us take a photo and she managed to cut off most of Wai Sun (on the right) and 3/4 of Edmund HAHAHAHA. And the birthday boy’s forehead! AAAAND the entire thing is blurry!
With the media people! Clockwise from top left: Kau Sern, Fatty and me obviously wtf, Wafu, Stephanie, Shelly and Joanne.
More ex-colleagues! Eileen, Adrian, Jammie, Edmund.
Heineken frequently works with Fatty as an influencer so they came on board and sponsored beer for the party. Thank you Heineken! And Super Pig for arranging it.
With Bobo and Brenda. Oooh might as well do audfit.
Banana top – Bangkok, Skirt – Foruchizu x Isetan collection, shoes – Jeffrey Campbell.
One more with Bobo!
Fatty’s Penang friends.
With Brenda and her boyfriend.
And Fayth!
A lot of other people came whose pictures I don’t have. But thank you all for coming and for making Tim’s birthday!
Jeremy & Khai Siew, Rob & Lena, Marcel, Des, Jojo and Lexi, Sin Thean and Hui Yuan, Jon, Yew Kuan, Hern Gene, Edwin & Thuy, Choo Zheng, Jasmine, thanks!!
Birthday cake time! I ordered a customized cake from Foret Blanc, a new (I think) patisserie. First time using them and to be honest I was a bit worried about the outcome cos I also gave them very vague instructions wtf. I just said it was a 30th birthday cake for my husband and I wanted the cake to have the things he loved – golf, cycling, me and Fighter.
They really put in a lot of research and this is the result!
HAHAHA adorable figurines! Everything made of fondant. Fatty’s is super accurate down to his glasses and mole. Mine also accurate la cos I really reach Fatty’s shoulder IRL only and my eyes are depicted as huge lol. But I understand it’s not so easy to capture my beauty like that WTF.
This part really impressed me! They took the initiative to search for this picture of us and print it out. ^^
Us! The only photo that night. 🙁
Scared not enough cake to go around so I also ordered cupcakes! Main cake was red velvet and these are vanilla.
And chocolate!
Ooh and this is my birthday present to Fatty.
Nearly all his friends called me and asked “what do you give a guy who has everything?”
Aw shucks you guys.
HAHAHAH. No la it’s a very real dilemma. Even I have trouble finding things to buy him cos he ALWAYS buys whatever he wants the minute he wants it. -_-
And whatever he wants and doesn’t have, for sure I cannot afford to buy it anyway.
So instead of competing with money, I made him a scrapbook.
And during the party I ran around taking Polaroid pictures of everybody there, and getting them to pen messages to him next to their photos. That way for the rest of his life, he gets to keep a physical memory of his 30th birthday party, his friendships at this point, and what his friends had to say to/about him.
Ok the end wtf.
I’m back! In case you missed me, I was in Bangkok for a few days over the weekend with Bobo and Hui Wen! In case you didn’t miss me, I wasn’t really gone very long la WTF. *makes excuse
Anyway this trip was planned because at a time where I was desperate to get away from everyday duties for a while and the both of them were more than happy to go. We jokingly called it the taitai trip because we envisioned a leisurely girls trip filled with shopping, massages, high teas and the occasional cocktail at an atas bar.
The good news is that the three of us are all the same age, and in the same stage of life and mentality (and same interests) so it was expectedly very fun! It was also a very very good bonding experience; now that we’re older we have less time to hang out like how it was in college or high school, so the trip gave us ample opportunity to just talk, catch up and learn new things about ourselves.
The bad news is, the stage of life I mentioned? It’s not taitaidom. It’s auntiehood wtf.
See we kept meeting rude/annoying people on the trip.
1. At KLIA 2, we approached the foreign passport counter since it was much nearer and there was no line anyway. The stupid officer stood up and shouted, “SINI TAK BOLEH! KENA PERGI KAUNTER PASSPORT MALAYSIA!” (Can’t do it here! You have to go to the counter for Malaysian passports!)
Baffled, we asked, “why not? There’s nobody in line here anyway.” Because aren’t the foreign/citizen counters all a guide anyway? If a counter happens to be free in any other self-respecting airport they will redirect people there regardless of foreigner or citizen right?
But the guy kept shouting, “TAK BOLEH TAK BOLEH! KENA PERGI SANA!” (CANNOT CANNOT MUST GO OVER THERE) Shout like his house on fire like that.
Never give us a good reason so I shouted back “KAMU INI PEMALAS LA!” (You’re just lazy!) and stomped off to find the Malaysian counters.
2. Lining up to board the flight, our line kena cut by a middle aged woman and her daughter.
I turned passive aggressively to Bobo and Hui Wen and said loudly, “Are there two lines here or did this woman just cut my line?”
The woman heard and she also said to her daughter passive aggressively, “There’s two lines here, we’re not cutting line.”
Yea there’s two lines but the three of us were lined up in the two lines. You still cut us, lady.
Anyway after these two incidents Hui Wen asked me, “were you always so vocal or only recently?”
I thought about it and realized only in recent years did I become so loud! After my Kempen Sopan Santun to be precise.
I remember the first time I told a stranger off for being rude. I was still in college doing an internship in KL. I took the LRT home every day so I was lining up to buy a ticket from the machine.
Then suddenly an old man with white hair went up to the head of the line, cut everyone off and tried to put his money in.
Everyone in line wasn’t happy obviously. We all looked at each other in anger but nobody did anything. They all seemed prepared to let him get his way.
I was fuming at the injustice. It was a very long line so all of us had been lining up for ages. Worse, someone else had the nerve to go stand behind the old man, creating a second line and cutting the rest of us even more.
So I asked the person behind me to hold my place, went up to the front and told the old man to please go behind and line up. He didn’t look at me but shuffled off to the back. The fella behind him also no choice but to go.
I did it! But inside I was struggling whether I should go tell him off. I had no confidence cos I was a kid and this was an old person. Everyone there was an adult too and frankly I was terrified of doing the wrong thing/drawing attention to myself.
I have no such qualms today. And I think that is a sure sign of auntiehood wtf.
Bobo and Hui Wen are also very vocal ok don’t think I’m the only one hahaha. They all also said they voice out more now that we’re all older. Maybe as kids we really didn’t dare cos we didn’t feel like we had a right to say anything. But now that we’re all old and married and “adults” now we don’t feel scared anymore? Hahaha. Either that or we’re really all aunties now and don’t give a shit. Last time I’d think and think and have to screw up my courage to do it. Now we just straight fire come out from the mouth wtf.
(Hui Wen worse okay apparently once she scolded a businessman on the train in Singapore cos he didn’t give up his seat to a pregnant lady HAHAHA. I wouldn’t dare do that la cos it’s sort of not my business hahahaha but she did it! Her efforts for nothing though, apparently said pregnant lady just huffed and sat down like it’s her right and didn’t thank Hui Wen FHL.)
Anyway here are photos from the first day of our Aunties trip!
(we called it Tai-tai trip but there was nothing very tai-tai about it la. Purposely chose all the cheap shopping areas and food, haggled with storekeepers like bona fide aunties, take BTS to save money, pull out calculator for everything. So should really call it Auntie trip wtf.)

The only taitai thing about the trip hahaha. We stayed at the Renaissance in Erawan. It was RM300+ a night which is not too bad cos I think it’s 5 stars! Or 4 stars wtf.
Got to the hotel and changed to go out!
My top and skirt from H&M. Worst decision of the day. Nearly evaporated due to the heat.
First stop was lunch in Siam Square. Restaurant is called Som Tham, on recommendation from Bo and Huiwen the Bangkok experts.
SOOO GOOD. We had fried chicken, spicy pork ball soup, papaya salad, pork neck and some first class sticky rice.
Topped off with Coke ahhhh I always go for Coke whenever it’s too hot. Which was every day in Bangkok. Goodbye stomach lining.
Then went to check out Paragon where we lusted over Prada sling bags. But because we’re all aunties and not taitais we never buy wtf.
Tea time at After You in Paragon. Also supposedly very famous for their honey toast?
Quite nice la I must say! Warm and full of butter and honey with vanilla ice cream on top! I kept comparing it to Rotiboy (which I also super love la hahaha) much to the disgust of the other two.
Drinks were way too sweet though. The Thais sure love their sugar. I had to dilute my strawberry limeade with free tea only can drink.
Nice ambience. Our day started damn late so by then it was night.
Headed off to Asiatique for Huiwen to run her wedding errands! My first time here and it really is very cool! Full of local designers/hipster looking outlets and just very nicely done.
Here’s me and Bo waiting for Huiwen to try on one of her wedding dresses. *big shiny eyes
Won’t post her photo here la for maximum impact at her wedding wtf.
At a pet clothing shop! Because her corgi Rocky is going to be ringbearer hahahaha.
The famous Kiss Me Doll! I’d never heard of it before but Thailand is full of impressive local designers and Kiss Me Doll is one who specializes in scarves.
At first I was like scarves? Meh. Then I saw the scarves.
And the sales assistant showed us how to tie on head in different styles, wear as shawl etc and I was sold. Literally. Hahaha.
Shopping for Fighter. ^^
Us! By then it was like 11 pm and had to make curfew! But still haven’t eat dinner!!
So we ended up eating Mcds near the hotel! A bit scared when we walk back to the hotel we get shot in the back by soldiers LOLOL.
No la! I think foreign media totally blew things out of proportion. The situation there was extremely normal. Besides the 12 am curfew, everything was business as usual. We didn’t see any violence or gatherings or anything. Even when on Sunday the train stations were closed due to scheduled riots we didn’t see anything. In fact traffic was better than normal and we got to our destinations even faster wtf.
So I’d say just keep a lookout for anything dangerous but it’s entirely safe to go if you already have trips booked.

Remember this?
Lol. This was six months ago… and Fighter’s biggest enemy is still the mosquitos. T___________T
For some reason, mosquitoes are a terrible hazard in our apartment! Every single time it rains, the next day swarms of mosquitos invade our house and ONLY BITE ME AND FIGHTER WTF.
I get so mad whenever Fighter gets bitten cos one mosquito bite is like the entire width of his arm or leg and it’s just pitiful. T___T
AND LOOK AT ME FOOT. BITTEN UNTIL GOT SCARS.
Fatty kena dengue before and I’m terrified Fighter gets it. Seriously what chances does a baby have against dengue!?!
I’ve checked our house and balcony over and over and still cannot figure out where their stupid larvae is. There’s regular fogging but still the mosquitoes don’t die. Used all sorts of things from electric mosquito pellets, mosquito coils, electric mosquito traps, citronella oil burners, and insect sprays but while some are effective, they’re also very unhealthy, especially for Fighter’s baby lungs.
(Once I went crazy and lit mosquito coils all over the house and it worked! But then later found out it’s just bad for us humans. We ended up opening all the windows to get the smoke out. Then mosquitos came in again FOL.)
I tried mosquito patches too which are effective cos the smell is very strong and concentrated locally but always worried if the chemical smell was good for Fighter. So I ended up sticking them on furniture near him instead which can be inconvenient when we move him.
Saw this in the pharmacy and decided that to give it a try. Tiger Balm is a reputable brand plus it uses Citronella oil which is natural and obviously safe. ^^
I know Citronella oil works but I find it messy so I like that this comes in a clean, no fuss form. No DEET or any other harmful chemicals used.
Inside the box are sealed strips like this one.
The patch!
Behind is an adhesive for easy sticking. The backing comes in two pieces for easy removal.
Then just stick on clothes! I put it on Fighter’s middle so there’s equal coverage top and bottom hahaha.
For babies, it’s enough to use one, but for adults two is recommended.
Fighter’s like “No moar moskeetos?”
“OKAY!!”
For more info, go to Tiger Balm’s website.
I was itching to update my blog but then I realized… besides Fighter what else do I blog about!? I only ever want to blog about Fighter!
Jeng jeng jeng. Identity crisis. Besides a mom I am NOTHING. Anyway not gonna blog about parenting today.
When I said the above, maybe it means that being a mom is the main focus of my life right now and that’s why my social media platforms are all full of it – blog is full of Fighter stories, Instagram is full of Fighter pictures, Dayre is full of… rubbish wtf. Also a lot of Fighter.
So when I said that, I thought about this Instagram account Jammie introduced to me. It’s called @malaysiarichandfamous wtf.
True to its name, malaysiarichandfamous is an IG account chock full of reposted photos from rich people (mostly young) in Malaysia, flaunting their wealth and material goods.
The day I found it, I stayed up late scrolling through all their Instagram accounts and jumping from one rich kid to the other. HAHAHA. *loser
Damn fascinating ok! I gotta confess, I was completely immersed in stalking their lives wtf. Every single aspect of their lives seemed totally different from mine or anyone that I knew.
Here’s what I learned about the rich and famous.
1. Most are second generation. The ones I saw on the Instagram anyway. I.e. the ones busy flaunting their wealth wtf. That’s why I spent so much time there; I had to put my Google skills to the test and a lot of time was taken up Googling them to find out who their parents are wtf. Most of them are really young, like younger than me or even still in school. So not to be judgmental or anything but the likelihood is the money is their parents’ la not theirs. So to be honest when I saw that I felt a bit like Wtf, you didn’t earn this money yourself why you show off so much!? A reader on Dayre pointed out that maybe I was judging and that for all I knew, these people could be super smart or successful in their own right. Which is a fair point really cos maybe they’re doing something useful with their lives too and this is just their way of enjoying themselves.
But then for them to be spending this amount of money means the money still isn’t theirs. If it was, their names would be famous in their own right cos you need to be THAT successful to spend like that. Then it opens up a whole new can of worms – is it then okay for them to show off if they’re successful? Why okay but not okay if they’re bums? And why not okay when they’re not hurting anyone? #philosoraptor
Either way, show off also good cos I can kepoh. HAHAHA.
2. They’re usually all friends with each other.
You know what they say, birds of the same 100K gold feather flock together.
3. Their favored brands are…
For girls their bags are all Hermes wtf. No LV. No Prada. Maybe got some Chanel thrown in because everybody likes the Boy. But if not, Hermes. The same design in like a billion colors. They’re like my auntie who buys the same shirt in five different colors, but on crack.
Why buy the same damn bag in different colors? Got so many other designs and brands in the world why don’t want? The Hermes design isn’t that nice honestly. Actually I don’t find it nice at all but maybe I have low class taste wtf.
My theory is that (a) they have too much excess money therefore it’s perfectly justifiable to buy the same bag a dozen times. But if I had that much money I’d buy all sorts of bags, not just from one brand! I’d buy plastic bags, garbage bags, recycling bags, eyebags (the cute ones, not the ones that make you look like shit wtf), etc. So the logic doesn’t make sense to me. Therefore, second and more probable conclusion is (b) they’re buying it for the status it brings. Which I guess considering the price, is a reasonable investment. You’re paying for status, prestige, and a whole lotta envy.
For guys it’s usually Loubutin for shoes, Givenchy for shirts and Panerai/Richard Mille/brands I never heard of for watches. Accessories are frequently Cartier.
4. THEY ARE MAD SHOWY
Wah this one. I scroll through their pictures also I feel overwhelmed. And very broke. Not all, but there are many that seem to make a career out of posting expensive things on Instagram. Much like @itslavishbitch whom I suspect is just a hilarious troll, nearly every photo on their Instagram is dedicated to showcasing at least one expensive item be it clothing, accessories or cars. Or the occasional private jet.
These people are especially adept at taking photos of their car steering wheels so the brand logo is obvious.
Which begets the question: Are their lives really chock full of material goods or do they just want to make it look that way? If it’s a matter of making others perceive it that way, doesn’t that mean that their lives revolve around material goods anyway?
Then is that the biggest joy of their lives, to look/feel/be rich? Why is it so important that their entire social media account be filled with proof of wealth?
5. It’s never enough
This really hit home to me. The average middle class person aspires to own something Louis Vuitton or Gucci or Prada. These people aspire to own Hermes, and because they can afford it, they do. I don’t know any other bag more expensive than Hermes therefore I can assume Hermes is the most desirable. So they’ve got their Hermes, and then they get another Hermes. And another. And another.
It never ends. Even if you’ve reached the pinnacle, there will always be something more. I can get all preachy now and say, that’s why you need to learn to be satisfied with what you have, but the truth it, that’s human nature. Never did this understanding hit me so hard as now: that we can have it all but will still never be satisfied.
Unless of course you know, you reach Nirvana.
(Nirvana = final goal of Buddhism, state where there is no suffering, desire or sense of self. My Sunday Dhamma school learnings applied correctly wtf)
What’s the conclusion? No conclusion la except that I hope if I ever get that rich, to not forget where I came from. And to not buy five Hermes bags in different colors wtf.
Need to churn out a quick blog post? No problem! Just post #audfits.
Okay okay I know it’s super lazy wtf. But I still wanna document them somehow cos lately I’ve been quite hardworking in styling and photographing em! And cos I’m always blogging about Fighter now I end up never posting them. Please la please la let me be vain wtf.
(although confirm nobody will leave comments one wtf. You all only comment when got Fighter think I dunno wtf hahaha.)

These babies. They’re all smarter than you give them credit for.
So a few days ago we brought Fighter out for dinner with us. I packed him some pureed peas so he could eat dinner with us too.
That’s Fighter being very aware of the camera.
And that’s me making my usual helicopter motor noises to get him to open mouth. Should totally patent it wtf. How it goes is: “TODTODTODTODTOD” (in manly growl) then “OPEN THE GATE FIGHTER! LET US IN LET US IN!” (high pitched squealing) then when mouth opens, “yay we’re safely home!”
It always works. Oh all right it only works the first bite of every meal wtf. After that he wisens up to it.
Only realizing got camera pointing at us mid-helicopter roar.
He did eat his peas that night though! ^^
When he wasn’t too busy staring at the camera that is.
Anyway after I finished feeding him, I passed him to Fatty while I ate.
Fighter started whining and struggling in Fatty’s arms and I can’t remember why but Fatty shifted Fighter on his lap so he was closer to me. Fighter started flailing his arms…
Then suddenly I felt a koala clinging on to my arm.
T___________T
We’ve known for about a month that when Fighter wants someone to carry him, he turns his torso towards them and lifts up his arms but relatively half heartedly.
Most of the time he doesn’t do this cos he’s not very particular who carries him… as long as he’s carried wtf.
So this is the first time I’ve seen him actively reach out and cling to someone like this. And that someone is me!!!!!!!!!!!!
Still putting his hand on my shoulder trying to move over to me hehehe.
Ahhh Fighter you totally have my heartstrings wrapped around your chubby little knuckles.
We compromised by Fatty putting him as close to me as possible. Then we thought oooh perfect opportunity for family photo!
Still clinging. Hahahaha.
These babies. I swear right before they leave heaven for a nice warm womb, the angels probably gave them a piece of advice:
“Whatever you do, the one who gives you milk? That’s the one you need to please. Capture her heart and you’re set for life.”
Last weekend was the Herbal Essences Neo Gal party!
It was one of the cutest most girly events I’d ever been to (good job Herbal Essences and Nuffnang!) so be prepared for a gazillion photos taken there hahaha.
To refresh your memory, the HE Neo Gal party is to celebrate the new Herbal Essences Japan Series shampoo. Comes in two variants – rose and lavender.

Rose is the Smooth Series which is for dry unmanageable hair and Lavender is Moisture, for damaged hair.
Mine is definitely damaged hair :X So I’m using Lavender right now! I love the smell of lavender anyway, all my fabric softeners also I buy lavender lolol. Lavender series doesn’t fail! It’s super fragrant so it’s like I’m wearing perfume all the time lol.
Herbal Essences uses naturally derived ingredients like palm oil, coconut oil and rapeseed oil as active ingredients to repair hair weakened by coloring and styling, and keep hair soft and manageable. ^^
The Japanese Series especially is specially formulated with natural ingredients like Rose and Camelia oil for touchably smooth hair with long lasting fragrance with just one use.
Face of the day! In all its cosmetic glory wtf.
The decor was adorable! Everything was themed pink and purple and very cute. I said the lanterns and pompoms look like wedding. Cheesie said look like mid autumn festival WTF.
Arrived quite early so I got to take photos of all the activities and stuff around before it got swamped with girls. This is the lavender photobooth!
So vintage-y feel! Me and Bobo making full use of the pretty backdrop.
All by myself~~~~~~ don’t wanna beeeee all by myself~~~~~~~
Actually totally wanted to be all by myself and kicked everyone out for this photo. Audfit – cropped denim jacket from Topshop, top from NG, skirt from Twenty3! Shoes are my usual JCs and bag is Ferragamo.
The camera in front of the photo booth.
We were trying to take free photos of the screen lolol.
*gives up
With Cheesie and Bobo!
This was the hairband/hair wreath making station, also Jane’s station. I took this picture and went one round around the place and when I wanted to come back to make my hair wreath it was packed! T_______T So no hair wreath for me.
Then Nana also joined us!
Then moving on I found the cupcake decorating station which is Cheesie’s station.
I’ve never done any baking in my life so I thought it looks damn fun! These are cupcakes decorated by other people. There’s tons of colored frosting and sprinkles to decorate with. Then you can finish off with a little sign with lavender or rose on it, depending on the theme of your cupcake I guess.
Me and Bobo with our cupcakes. Let me show you a close up…
The theme of my cupcake is ugly WTF. I’m actually not bad at drawing leh! I dunno why my decorating skills suck as much as Fighter on his pacifier.
2nd attempt. Mediocre but vast improvement from first attempt which was shameful, really.
My cupcakes! Left one is the first try hahaha see how gracefully I tried to conceal the lumpy uneven frosting by dumping all the red, pink and white sprinkles on one side wtf. Made things even worse by adding muticolored sprinkles on the other side. Poor mutant cupcake. Bet it didn’t have any friends wtf.
See my face better than see cupcakes la!
Already not enough hair and makeup same (until I suspect Fighter confuses me and Bobo) denim jacket also same! Hehehe.
There was also a hair mascara station!
Here’s the host Linora changing her hair color on the spot. Hehe after you’re done we can always go home and wash it off with Herbal Essences. 😛
With Jane and Nana. Haha our hair colors all different.
Again!
With Nana! She super cute la! Ah youth wtf.
Uhh the five of us abused the Rose photobooth and took five consecutive shots so each of us could have one!
There was even stickers and pens to decorate! In other words, this is manual purikura. Hahaha. HE really thought of everything.
Also got performance from the super sweet and cute Charis! She sounded nervous when she was speaking but when she opened her mouth to sing…. steady as a rock yo!
Another one with Bobo. We didn’t have stations to man so we very free to take more pics hahaha. Also she wants to show off her sexy slit wtf.
With pretty Mia! My second time meeting her; first time was at Vivy’s Baby D’s cukur jambul! She came up to me and told me she read my blog and congrats on Fighter. She never mentioned she has a blog too! 😀
Speaking of Fighter, guess who made a guest appearance?
Hehehe thanks Big Fat and Small Fat for coming to support mommy.
And if you’re wondering, yes he totally stole the limelight upon arrival.
With these eyes, how could he not.
Then the Small Fat started getting cranky so we had to leave.
Thank you Herbal Essences and Nuffnang for the great party! Mommy duties don’t leave a lot of time for being girly and taking pretty pictures and catching up with friends and readers so thanks for the fun day. 😀
Third and last day in Tokyo!
Ahhh looking at these photos make me so nostalgic…for two weeks ago WTF.
As luck would have it, the last day was the only day where the sun came out to play and the rain went away.
First stop was…
Ginza
To eat Torigin again wtf. This Fatty when he likes something he really likes something. So for things like food he’d eat the same thing constantly.
I guess I have nothing to worry about wtf.
#audfit! My cropped turtleneck from Younghungryfree very love! Also love is my socks and shoes hahaha.
Anyway after our first visit to Torigin, we already knew it was located right next to the subway exit. So this time we took the subway to Ginza.
But then…. we forgot we didn’t know WHICH exit wtf. There are like…18 in total. FOL.
I googled for the address and found the exit corresponding to the road name. Pat myself on the back for being so resourceful about it… but turns out it’s the wrong exit. FML.
Super complicated as it turned out. We spent like half an hour touring Ginza on foot trying to find the restaurant and stupid Google Maps wasn’t working well for us – it kept losing track of where we were. -_- Hello Gu-guru what is this!
Anyway thanks to my superb direction asking (and a whole lotta hand pointing) we finally got there half hour later.
Me and the best yakitori evahhhh.
Being all bloggerish and taking pictures hahaha.
After that Fatty went off for his conference while I headed to…
Shinjuku Lumine Est
For more shopping! Lumine Est is part of the Shinjuku station.
All the usual gyaru/neo gal brands here! Murua, Emoda, GYDA, SLY and like a billion more wtf.
And this is where I ass planted on the floor wtf damn embarrassing. Stupid shoes! I dunno what happened but I slipped and my left leg kicked out to the front, I obviously had no legs to stand on and hit the ground on my ass hard. It was at an acessories store and all the girls browsing around me gasped and then fell silent wtf.
While the store staff looked horrified and helped me up fml. Then I have to pretend like it’s very funny and laugh it off and my ass isn’t hurting up to high heaven.
I had a bruise on my ass for two weeks wtf.
And then after that, I went to another store (Jouetie) and hooked my bag on a mannequin and the mannequin nearly fell over WTF. Seriously I should never go back there to Lumine Est wtf.
Then Fatty finished with his conference and he wanted to go shopping again! So off I went back to…
Shibuya
I was walking to cross the Shibuya crossing when a model scout for Jelly Magazine approached me!!! I love Jelly!
She spoke so fast and with so much honorifics that I totally did not get what she was saying wtf. So I listened politely until she was done then started, “Sorry but I’m not Japanese…” intending to tell her I didn’t understand whatever she was saying.
She asked if I was living in Japan and I said no and she went, “oh ok sorry to have taken up your time!” and moved off. I also started to move on then remembered that a few years ago a video crew from Reuters stopped me at the same place so I got curious about what she wanted.
So I went back to her again and asked her what was she talking about. She held up a copy of Jelly and said they were looking to recruit new models!!!
4’9 also can become model!??! Only in Japan.
She and her colleague asked me how old I was so I told her and she appeared very surprised fml. She said my legs very thin so nice wtf. I guess because Japanese magazine models have very thin legs. I could have told her the legs are thanks to breastfeeding wtf but thought that might shock her even more lol.
Anyway I went to tell Fatty cos his bucket list included wanting to date a model. Well he married a nearly model WTF. For Jelly magazine which I regularly read!!! That’s even better right HAHAHAHA.
Went back to 109 until Fatty arrived.
I left my black bag with my breast pump and bottles inside in the bathroom!!! Panicked and went back and it was still there whoooo I love Japan.
Later I left my umbrella at a shoe store. Also went back and it was still there.
Then my breast pump bag again at another shoe store WTF. STILL THERE.
Hey Fats! His #timfit (or as I like to call it #outfat) nice or not!?

First stop – the same sushi bar for another sushi break. Told you we keep going to the same places.

Yums!

More yums!

Super cute WC store! Nothing much to buy though. :X

Saw the hottest jacket ever at 109 Mens. Geddit geddit lolol. Wear this confirm sweat until thin.
After we finished the whole 109 Mens, we took the train again to….
Ginza
For dinner with Ryo another EO guy.
Train photo!
Nicer train photo.
Gorgeous Ginza facades!

I never realized how pretty Ginza is at night.
That’s Ryo! And our waitress who both watched our meme proposal video and cried HAHAHA. The waitress was so cute she discreetly watched from behind then I saw her wiping her eyes.
Then looked at Ryo he also red eyed lolol.
We dined at Neboke, which serves Tosa cuisine, a local cuisine from Shikoku.
Fish biscuit, which was probably the mildest thing we had that night.
Whale meat. T________T
Ryo was being so hospitable and I think he also wanted to give us a great new experience. But whale meat was kind of out of bounds for me la. T____T Cos I kept thinking of the poor whales and whaling of which I thoroughly disapprove.
Fatty straight out refused to try so I did cos I didn’t want them to feel bad. The meat was… ok, not memorable but the slice of fat you had to take it with was quite inedible….
Roasted bonito which was pretty okay.
Pretty French dessert shop!
With bunny themed pastries omgggggg.
Walking back after dinner.
Fatty looking very hem here hahaha. So nice hor this ootd shot with the pretty neon lights behind!
My turn!
Ended the night at Don Quijote in Roppongi (super near our hotel!)
Speaking of shopping, these were the accessories I got from the shop where I fell down wtf.

Cute packaging! Worth falling down for. (Not really.)
Loot!
As usual, as indicated photos were taken with my trusty Xperia Z1.
Which btw I dropped into Fighter’s bathwater the other day WTF.
I was damn scared but luckily it is waterproof lo! And thank goodness the covers for all the ports and slots were closed omg. Hastily retrieved it and no harm done. Hahaha phew.
That said, cannot wait for the launch of the new Sony Xperia Z2!! Got to try it for a bit a few months ago and the camera is even more <3333. Launching in Malaysia in a few weeks!
Short Mention
If you’re wondering how I stayed online in Tokyo, it was with Maxis’s new Data Roam pass. Fatty and I got a pocket wifi to share but most of the time we were in different places so it was just more convenient for me to use Data Roam – only RM38 a day for unlimited data! Click here for more info
I blogged briefly about starting Fighter on solids before and I thought I should update a bit more about it.
As blogged previously, I started with rice cereal as recommended by the pediatrician. Seasoned it with lotsa breastmilk and tried it out and he readily ate it up for a few days.
Then it was time for different foods!
At the start I read and researched about baby foods. It was a momentous decision! It’s a major milestone for Fighter so the first food must be majorly marvelous. Hahaha. I finally decided on…

Jeng jeng jeng. Avocado. It’s like a star fruit (no pun intended lol), full of nutrients and extremely healthy, mild tasting so it won’t be jarring for baby’s tastebuds yadda yadda.
I got a ripe one and mashed it with a fork then added a few teaspoons of breastmilk for a familiar taste.
I know it looks damn gross right. Honestly I can’t blame Fighter; if someone served this to me I’d puke it up too wtf.

To my delight he ate most of it!
I was prepared to go into battle wtf. Prepped myself with an arsenal of helicopter noises and plane announcements to pretend the spoon was a plane trying to get into the airport of his mouth WTF. Totally learned that from Fat Her.
But he did pretty well! Once he got over his tongue stick reflex the I think out of curiosity more than anything else he quietly enough ate it up.
Then I progressed to other fruits and vegetables. But before that I added one crucial tool to the kitchen.
Baby food processor!
I tried using a regular blender but it was quite tricky cos baby food portions are obviously small. So when you put it into a regular sized blender which is way too big, cannot blend anything! At first I was reluctant to get a food processor cos I checked out Phillips Avent one and holy mama at that price I’d pray my baby doesn’t grow teeth for at least ten years to maximize the usage for the price I’m paying WTF.
But a reader told me about this Little Bean food processor and it’s only RM100+! Can steam AND puree some more so I fasterly bought it. And I love it so far it makes making baby food so simple even a kitchen noob like me can operate it!
First puree I tried was apple. Cut the apple into small cubes and steamed it. When I took out the steamed apple to put into the blender I nearly vomited WTF.
Did you know steamed apple smells daaaaamn weird!?!? I felt sure Fighter would reject it but already steamed what to do! So I puree-d it.
And got this nice yellow thick sauce. I tried it and…oooh really quite yummy wtf.
Fighter loved it! He ate the plate clean. And I was ecstatic because it’s so easy to get apples and so easy to prepare them too. This would be Fighter’s staple food wtf.
Next I tried papaya. Total failure wtf.
He took one spoon and then refused the rest. T_______T I was super surprised cos papaya seems like the type of food that babies would love – soft, sweet and juicy.
But he really didn’t want it. Then grumpy for the next two days wtf true story. The second time I let him try papaya, he was grumpy for 1-2 days too! I dunno if papaya gave him a tummy ache or what. :X
Pear also strike out. -_-
Very weird this baby. Cannot predict his tastes.
Hmm lemme try…
I LOVE IT!
HEHEHE.
Tried pumpkin and sweet potato also didn’t want.
So okay fine I stuck to apple and banana. Sometimes pure puree, sometimes mixed with rice cereal.
And then….
There was a dark period.
When Fighter didn’t poo for four days. T____________T
He never had a problem with constipation before this so I had no idea what it was about. But friends I talked to told me about BRAT, the four enemies of baby constipation wtf – Banana, Rice, Apple, Toast.
FML 3 out of 4 are the only foods Fighter will eat. And probably only cos I never fed him toast before wtf.
I waited for three days and all he gave me was wet diapers wtf. So on the fourth day I fed him a dose of lactulose and three hours later…
I swear when I picked him up he was twice as heavy as normal wtf.
To my disgust (and fascination) there was so much poo it had seeped up to his belly button WTF.
I don’t think I’ve ever been happier to see poop though wtf.
After that incident, thankfully his digestion and waste system went back to normal. I kept in mind the P saviors of constipation (pear, papaya, plums, prunes, etc) and also gave him a bit of apple juice after every solid meal to to help with his pooping and so far all is well.
Right now I’m still having trouble getting him to eat. ;____; I think he only ate well the first couple of weeks because it was a novelty and then he got bored and stopped. -_-
Yesterday he ate all his banana, but otherwise every meal is a hit miss. T_____T Apple, pear, plum, avocado all also sometimes can sometimes cannot.
Today I broke out this pacifier/feeder thing that Jammie gave me.
It’s like a gigantic teether except it has holes in it and you can fill it with puree. When baby bites on it, the puree squishes out through the holes and he gets to eat in a way he can control.
Fighter chewed on it and of course the puree (apple + cereal) squirted out. He chewed on the puree thoughtfully for a while (because new experience I guess) then lost interest.
*controlled breathing
This is the only thing he’ll eat happily. Egg Bolou wtf. It’s just round egg biscuits from Kewpie (got them from a supermarket in Tokyo) but he loves! I wondered if he liked it because he just didn’t like eating mush.
So I’ve been reading up on baby led weaning and yesterday I attempted to try it. Cut up an apple into miniscule pieces and steamed it. He readily took it into his mouth but he couldn’t manipulate his tongue and lips enough to properly gnash it between his gums! The apple pieces kept falling out wtf. So that’s a dud.
So that’s the story of Fighter’s food and poop wtf. If you’re a mommy, what are the problems you’ve faced with your child’s feeding and how did you solve it?
