In my life B.F. (Before Fighter) I had desires. Lolol sounds a bit geli. Material desires la!
Like any normal human being who hasn’t reached Nirvana (the Buddhist state of mind, not the banana leaf rice shop), I wanted things! So did Fatty – his obsession is watches while mine is…everything wtf. Bags, shoes, clothes, makeup, new gadgets, etc.
Once we had Fighter everything changed. I didn’t think that was possible wtf.
Suddenly material things don’t seem as important anymore. I don’t mind not shopping and while before I used to buy some kind of skincare or cosmetics at least once a month I haven’t bought any for 3-4 months at least. *pats self on back
Instead what I want right now is for Fighter to stop being grumpy hahaha. For him to grow bigger faster so we can take him out without worrying about infections. For him to be healthy and perfect.
And…. a family holiday please. Right now that’s my perfect definition of living life to the fullest.
Although as a family we got through the whole preeclampsia and hospitalization thing great, it did take a toll on us. We were mentally and physically exhausted and after it was all over, Fatty returned to work as usual of course while I’m looking after Fighter.
What we need is a great big holiday!!!!
Last night Fatty said the holiday he missed the most was our time in LA. I said, “Me, I just want to take Fighter to Disneyland.”
I’d buy him a Mickey onesie to wear for the occasion!!!!
Fatty: “Don’t you think he wouldn’t remember or know he’s in Disneyland?”
Me: “What makes you think this is the only time we’ll take him?”
Unfortunately, we’re not only mentally and physically exhausted we’re also financially a bit exhausted lol (hospital bills were crazy high.) So that’s just a dream for now.

Really! I don’t know if many people realize this but if I say turn down alcoholic drinks people tend to give me dubious curious looks. Like ‘really? Are you sure? It’s alcohol wor!”
Yes really. There are actually people who don’t like drinking in the world and I happen to be one of them. I don’t hate alcohol — I generally like champagne and certain beers but I don’t understand the obsession with it. Truth be told, I always feel a bit bemused thinking about it.
I don’t like candy and sweet foods but I can understand the love for dessert. Because who doesn’t like sweets? It always seems to me like its programmed in the human genome to like sweets wtf because even little kids and babies love it. Plus breastmilk tastes like sugar water lolol.
But alcohol the taste nice meh? Do people honestly take their first sip of alcohol and go OMG THIS IS AS GOOD AS BAK KUT TEH LOAD UP MY BOWL NOWNOWNOW. No. Usually the first taste is bitter. Or there’s some weird chemically smell. And if it’s hard liquor sorry throat it’s gonna burn going down wtf.
(But again I am not super well versed with alcohol so maybe there’s some very very yummy ones out there, but generally most liquors are like I described right?)
So alcohol is an acquired taste. Like… say, spicy food and cigarettes. You like the high and happy feelings that drinking gives you so you keep at it until you get used to it and eventually love it.
The difference is… when you say you don’t like spicy food or cigarettes, nobody gives you the ‘ARE YOU SERIOUS’ look. Really one I get that look all the time if I refuse a drink. Like I am literally pooping the party lolol.
Which is why breastfeeding is awesome! Just shrug and say “Can’t. Breastfeeding” and everyone will nod vigorously and say “yes yes yes better not. You don’t want a drunk baby” and whisk away their whiskey glasses.
But then when they tote out the champagne bottles, I’m like “FFFUUUUU”. Cannot win lolol.

Face of the day!
Somewhere along the way, Bobo, Huiwen and I started what we call our taitai tradition (although I’m probably the only one closest to that title, in that I don’t have a full time job wtf) where we meet up and have high tea or lunch.
I also dunno why! We’re all the same age (OLD), and married (or in Huiwen’s case nearly wtf) so maybe we got auntie identity crisis and are trying to make the best of auntiedom lolol.
But our high teas are chapalang one, not proper high tea, just yumcha in aircon surrounding FOL.
Anyway that day we attempted a proper taitai outing! A Tous les Jours opened near my house so they planned to come over and see Fighter and then go out for tea.
Taitai means must wear dress! And must have neatly coiffeured hair (and carry structured non-slouchy handbags) but dunno why my hair damn messy here wtf. Oh ya I think it’s cos I didn’t wash it HAHAHA.
Us! This Huiwen also failed taitai because she didn’t get the memo and wore shorts. Speak to the hand Huiwen. She said cos she thought she was going to play with baby and crawl everywhere that’s why she came in shorts hahaha. She thinks Fighter is a corgi.
Dunno what I’m doing.
Accidentally pressed the shutter instead of turning it off wtf. I approve of this photo…because my nostrils are damn clean here.
Anyway the reason why we took so many photos in the car was because we were stuck in the mother of all traffic jams. Stupid public holiday!!!
It normally takes me five minutes to get from my house to Pavilion. That day it took us 1.5 hours.
Luckily we were together though! At least can conduct some of our gossip and heart to heart talk in the car with each other.
Ended up not going to the intended high tea place because we couldn’t take one more minute of jam and detoured to Pavilion, to some generic restaurant with no high tea options.
And by then we didn’t care cos we were too hungry so we just ate non stop and forgot to take any pictures thus ends our taitai experience wtf.
Came home to this little guy. He was going through his 2nd developmental leap here and was extremely difficult. T_T Oh yea I wanted to blog about this ok next blog post.
So difficult the only way to calm him down was to put him in a sling and walk around.
I wanted to take him out for a walk around our apartment actually. Went downstairs, walked three steps and it started drizzling.
So I said brightly, “that was fun huh Fighter? Walk over now, time to go home.” Told myself that he wouldn’t know the difference, time must seem super long to a baby.

Quite heart pain about it though! I wanted one, but somehow after having a baby I find it so difficult to justify paying so much for a bag anymore. :X Aih be still my guilty heart.

I’m obsessed with it hehehe. Houndstooth and backpack style – what’s there not to love? I find backpack style bags damn convenient now cos it leaves my hands free to carry more things e.g. Fighter, his diaper bag, etc. A mommy on Dayre mentioned cross sling bags for convenience but I think backpacks are equally that and fashionable too!!

I’m typing this on my phone yo. Another level of mobile blogging jeng jeng.
I’m feeding Fighter now! Look ma no hands wtf. Also because we’re currently converting what used to be our study to Fighter’s nursery.
So not only do we have to unplug our computers and move em downstairs to the new study, I’m also rewiring the phone and Internet cables. Which is why cannot use computer so resort to phone. Loving my Sony Xperia though cos it makes blogging a lot easier cos of the big screen.
Brb burping Fighter wtf.
Speaking of moving rooms, I wanted to quickly blog about it first. I love this interior decorating thing! Who knew it’d be so much fun?
Besides drawing cartoon figures I have no artistic capabilities at all. Take photo of the same thing as my friends and my picture turn out the ugliest wtf. Decorate our dorm room also Angela was always better at it I just copy her WTF.
Even my purikura stickers are ugly lolol. So I don’t really have confidence in my interior decorating skills and thought we have to hire a professional decorator for our future house.
This is a small project so obviously I did it myself. And turned out not bad wor I’m quite happy with it! In fact yesterday I stood in the freshly painted room for like ten minutes and admired it while breathing in paint fumes.
This is a view of Fighter’s nursery! I chose a mint color for the walls and repainted all the built in cabinets white. Because if I cannot have pink I’ll settle for white lolol.
The furniture used to be dark lacquer and now that it’s white the room is so much brighter! I used to think the problem was the light bulbs weren’t powerful enough but now I know it’s just the dark wood absorbing all positive chi *bangs table
Lots shelving and storage I like. Under the windows are cabinets for yep, more storage. Baby doesn’t need that much space so we use it for our things. Suitcases and stuff.
Doors are also white. The nursery has two doors (3 if you count the bathroom) cos it connects to our room! Easier for me to run in and check on him.
The other side. Haven’t moved our computers out yet so the ugly table is housing Fatty’s computer now.
All our rubbish waiting to move downstairs.
Then we go downstairs…
To the new study! Fatty’s mom originally designed it to be a baby room; the platform there is to put the cot or children’s bed or mattress.
But cannot la how to let Fighter sleep so far from us.
So instead I built a L shaped desk for the both of us on top of the platform.
I actually chose like a blue gray for the walls. Turned out damn blue wtf but quite nice also!
The cabinet on top was originally from our old study. I had it torn out and installed here. One of the desks is also from upstairs and we brought it down and fixed a new one to it to form the L.
My desk will be on the right.
After this imma get an armchair for the corner of the room so we can sit and read, more shelving and a rug so our roller chairs won’t scratch the flooring.
Then finish!
Very fun!! I’ll blog again when everything is done.
I was thinking so fun maybe I should have studied interior design. But then I think this is the only style I’m capable of executing wtf. White furniture and bright walls confirm no business close shop so ok la phew bad career choice avoided there wtf.

God Imma sound like a parrot wtf but because I update my Dayre I keep forgetting I haven’t updated this blog. T_______T Nuuuuuuuu 9 years of blogging cannot just die like that.
But I have my reasons ahem. Before me, Xiaxue also kind of stopped blogging on her blogspot, and I used to think HAR really ah does she really wanna do that?! But it’s not a matter of want, it’s a matter of no choice. (luckily she blogs on Dayre too because although we’re friends I’m still her fan wtf)
We do have a maid but I hate the idea of domestic help raising my baby. (this is a blog topic for another day) So if I’m at home, I’m the one caring for Fighter. If I have to go out for events or meetings, then she takes over, but if not I’m Fighter’s main point of contact wtf. My whole life I’ve been super easy going about everything pertaining to myself and even to Fatty, but not with Fighter. I am a changed woman.
I just hate the thought of ever missing out anything when it comes to him. If he cries, I want to be the one who comforts him. If he’s happy I want front row seats to his smile thank you wtf. I even WANT to change his diapers (and get slightly annoyed with Fatty when he calls our maid to change them) although I’ve relinquished that honor a bit lol.
So yes, if I have any spare time at all, it all goes to this baby. And that’s why I haven’t been blogging much, or even wanted to sit at my desk and blog. :X
Believe me, I’ve tried to do both I sat down at my computer holding Fighter and realized it’s impossible to do anything like that.
When I sat down at my computer I really felt very long time no see though. I do miss blogging at my computer because I can say more. And boy do I have a lot to say!

When we first started using it, it was a bit hard to open and close it (it being new I guess) but now it’s super easy to handle! Love that it’s light enough and easy enough for me to do it on my own.
If anyone’s wondering, I got it from Mothercare. I even went to Mothercare and took a photo with the Bee in front of it WTF but that was a different day and I looked like shit so no posting sorreh.

Every time I go out, I confirm forget at least one thing. This time, I forgot two – his pacifier and his milk bottle WTF. Poor Fighter got hungry halfway and kept wanting to eat my boobs lolol there’s nothing like a baby for embarrassing you.
We had to rush back right after dinner.
Since that first disastrous outing, Fighter’s been quite good outside! He calmly goes to sleep when he’s in his stroller or baby carrier so hopefully we can take him out more.

I’ve been a bit sick of the iPhone lately. Lots of battery issues, always not detecting charging cables EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE ORIGINAL HELLO, if got mood swing restarts for no reason, and more battery issues.
I’ve been eyeing this phone (Sony Xperia Z1) for a while but only got it recently. Fatty said he’ll be surprised if I stick with Android for more than a few months. Well supplies supplies Fatty! So far I really like it – very customizable (means can make it look really cute), big beautiful screen and gorgeous photo resolution. Later I do a review ok!

So!!! 29 November which was last Friday was the launch of the Foruchizu popup store 2013 at Isetan KLCC!
Fed Fighter and put him to nap (because I don’t think he appreciates fashion yet hmph) and charged over to KLCC to have a look.
HELLO BEAUTIFUL! Lol.
Foruchizu popup store will run from now until February and there will be new arrivals every week. So you need to keep coming to visit us! Hehehe.
Some of the key trends we picked out this year are the color burgundy, knit fabrics…
… and houndstooth! Houndstooth is so in now that if it’s any inner it will come out the other side wtf.
This year we also put a bigger focus on “sundries” or accessories and bags. Accessories dress up an outfit; you can wear a simple tee and shorts but if you put on some makeup and then some earrings or a whole stack of bangles, your whole look is made. The whole vibe has completely changed.
Plus accessories and bag trends are more lasting which is why we wanted to focus on them more! We worked with Smir Nasli, a Japanese bag brand to bring in their sundries and they are very loveeeeee ok.

I’m pretty sure I’ve blogged about this before… but this is a topic that never goes out of style! wtf.
Just think of it as, every now and then I need to write about things/types of people that annoy me so I can let off some steam.
Also so I can be a lecturing old auntie and indirectly tell people what not to do so they know now to piss other people off lolol. Sometimes you might not know what you’re doing! So I’m doing you a favor actually.
So these are the types of people/things who have been annoying me recently. All of them aren’t people I know in real life so that’s the silver lining. They’re all people I encounter online.
(Actually I’m so loser that the only new people I encounter are online WTF)
1. Rude-sounding questions or statements
The other day, I posted this photo on Instagram.
I have no hair, I know! I’ve known it my whole life because my mom has very little hair too, and Ooib, bless his soul, is on the verge of balding. But I’m not balding la because my hair has always been like this. I’m not losing additional hair, I just never had a lot to begin with.
Someone left this comment: “Hair loss?”
I think I’ve explained in my blog (and other social platforms) about nine thousand times that my hair is just naturally little but I’m not balding but ok fine maybe she doesn’t know.
But that’s definitely not a good way to leave a comment. Maybe she was genuinely inquiring (since apparently people lose hair after having a baby), and I think she was because she apologized after that.
But it was the way she phrased it. “Hair loss?” is just pointing out that “hey you’re losing your hair” without offering any advice or sentiment even.
It’s equivalent to seeing someone (you don’t know well) with crooked teeth and saying “Bad teeth huh?” or telling another person “Diet time?”. You wouldn’t say this in real life to people you meet, would you?
Another person said “you look tired”. Which is true la because I AM tired. Try taking care of a two month old and see how energetic you look?
But it goes back to the same principle. Would you tell a large person you’ve just met they’re fat? Or tell someone else that their hair color sucks, please go dye another color. (This happens to Qiu all the time really FHL).
NO YOU WOULDN’T. Not if you’re a decent functioning member of society anyway. If you’re a close friend of mine, it would be okay because yes, there are different standards for friends and people I don’t know personally.
Why would you do that anyway? There’s no value in your comment to anyone besides you. You just want to give your negative opinion and you end up being rude about it.
But there you go, this happens ALL THE TIME online. It’s like when you turn on your computer, your manners straightaway fly out of the window, whether you had bad intentions or not.
However, it’s okay if you say “hair loss? Don’t worry it will pass, it’s just a phase post-pregnancy”. Or “you look tired. Hope you get more rest!” Because although some people might still find it offensive, to me it signals the person isn’t trying to be rude and just wants to be helpful. The advice or experience-sharing after a comment that may be perceived as rude softens your words tremendously. It’s really in the way you phrase it.
THINK BEFORE YOU TYPE OKAY.
2. Self entitled people. Sometimes can be lazy people too.
I kena this only once recently. But now and then I encounter these people and it makes me crazy angry! I recently wrote a blog post reviewing a facial treatment I did at DRx. Then I posted on my Instagram that I had blogged, and linked my own blog.
Soon I received a Facebook message asking me…. where I went for the facial. The weirdest thing was she asked where I went for my DRx facial.
You already know at DRx why you ask some more??
So I took a calming breath and thought oh ok, maybe she saw my Instagram post and not my blog post, where I had written out the DRx website, address and even phone number wtf.
Already sounds a bit lazy and self entitled. Why didn’t she just follow my blog link and find out herself? But never mind I was patient.
(Also please note that when I didn’t answer her immediately, a day later she messaged me to prod me for an answer. So kan cheong why don’t you search yourself??? Is it easier to ask me and wait for my answer?)
Anyway, I answered her that the information was on my blog.
Then she replied with “thanks I saw it already. Then can I know how much it was?”

Honestly I think if she just messaged me and asked me the price I would probably be okay. But I thought that she was already being inconsiderate and would rather pass the burden of finding out info to me (when already I have written out everything in the first place), and then chase me for the answer. Like is she very busy until cannot find out herself? I’m also busy what why she do this to me!!
Also because she called me “dear” which is another sub-pet peeve of mine lolol. I really don’t like it if someone I don’t know or am not close to calls me “babe” or “dear” or whatever term of endearment. “Hey pretty” is also pretty bad but I try to overlook it cos I think they direct translate from Chinese hahaha cultural difference can overlook.

Didn’t bother censoring her username because she posted this in public herself, plus even if I did, you could easily find her if you went to my Instagram. But please don’t go and flame her because although she is annoying, she’s only being bitchy to me and not to anyone else.

I don’t know what rumor has been going around because at one point there was a whole influx of snooping questions left on my blog/Twitter asking about our friendship. :X But the truth is, the truth is boring wtf. I guess we both got busy with our own lives – me being pregnant and her being a new wife. When we stopped working on Foruchizu, we also met up less although we still chat and whatsapp.
So conclusion is, still friends just low profile wtf.
Anyway the other day both of us met up and we both looked decent… so lots of photos!

The fella own self asked us if we wanted to test drive one.

Why would he be scared you ask? Because when Cheesie drove she kept turning on the wiper instead of the turning signal HAHAHAH.
(She drives a Japanese car (obviously) and apparently Korean cars like Kia signal on the left like continental cars.)
I tried very hard to record a video but after that she just went straight never turn anymore sigh.
Then when he asked me for my license, I couldn’t find it WTF. I did want to drive, but when I asked him if I could he stared daggers at me. Haih time to make a police report.

We were responsible and took this when the car was stopped ok.
We made small talk by asking what’s good about this car. He said it has six airbags haha good to know considering the both of us not very trustworthy when it comes to driving.
Then we got lost. Seriously FOL max. The salesman said turn right, Cheesie turned left. ಠ_ಠ
Had to use Waze to get us back to the mall.
And the real reason why we were there….

I was so kiasu scared everywhere else was sold out so we went to this mall I have never heard of, Alamanda.
But this week it’s the frog Hello Kitty… a bit not that cute leh. :X
But matched the car brochure anyway wtf.
Should mark this date down cos this is the first time Cheesie has willingly eaten McDs with me. Usually I always want to eat, and she always refuses cos she hates fast food.
Then went home to my sleeping minion!

I guess it’s really because of Dayre! It’s so easy to update there because I can do it on my phone and most of the time I’m doing it while feeding Fighter (or pumping) which takes up about a billion minutes of my time.
The good thing about Dayre is that whatever random thoughts or occurences that I think are worth putting down, I put it down there. Yea because I’m narcissistic like that and I think my thoughts are worth saving. Lolol.
The bad part is that because I put down my thoughts so quickly there, they don’t have time to evolve into a bigger idea, one that deserves to go into this blog.
So although I have tons of things I wanna say, I’ve already written down the condensed version on Dayre and then have nothing to say here. D: Not a good thing!!!
I need to get into the habit of writing longer and putting more effort in… cos I don’t wanna lose my skills. Already I’m deteriorating, just look at how much better I wrote while I was at Moho!
Anyway, first up, Fighter spam! (yea I’m really writing longer here ah wtf)
I buckled and got Fighter a pacifier. I didn’t want to have to wean him off it, but then I noticed he was nuzzling at my breast and trying to feed every hour! We thought it was a growth spurt but he’d overdrink and puke. -___- And he also started stuffing his hands into his mouth and sucking his fingers so we figured he only wanted comfort and got him a pacifier. This one’s from Avent!

Out with our Bugaboo Bee for the first time!!! This was my dream pram haha and I’m so happy I got it in this color! Got it from Mothercare if anyone is interested wtf. The yellow outside and monotone stripes inside design is a special edition.
Super match my outfit some more! Totally coincidental hahaha but it makes for the best picture ever. We were all in minion shirts that Angie got us and in this pic, Fighter really looks like a real minion hahaha.
Went for dinner the other day at Pierre and Lay See’s so Fighter and their #littlesumo (who are by default BFFs and golf buddies already according to their dads wtf) could meet.
I guess they find each other’s company damn boring cos they both slept through it all wtf.

And her daughter smacked her doll down next to him. HAHAHAHA SAME POSITION ONE.

He actually likes the bath itself! Just the hair washing, and strangely recently the part where he’s wrapped in a towel. Then he cries the house down. :X No idea why!

He’s been smiling a bit recently!!!
I didn’t know if it’s just reflexes or real smile but nowadays when we talk to him or make funny noises he’s been smiling! Or if I machine gun kiss his cheek he’ll like smile tentatively ahahaah.
But I googled for real smiles for babies and they only come from 2-3 months onwards. Fighter’s corrected age is 1.5 months so I don’t think it’s a real smile la haha. Oh well.

We were super proud of what we had achieved last year, and Isetan is obviously happy with us too because we are collaborating again for a Foruchizu Pop Up Store at Isetan KLCC!!!
(in case you’re wondering about Foruchizu online it’s on indefinite hold because me and Cheesie have other commitments e.g. Fighter wtf and we have no timeeee T___T Sad but life goes on wtf.)
But anyway Isetan X Foruchizu totally makes up for it!

Cheesie and the Isetan team went to Tokyo again on a buying/inspiration trip! I really wanted to go but… I was in the hospital then. D: Never mind Cheesie represent.
One of the brands we’re bringing in this year under Foruchizu is Smir Nasli, a Japanese bag brand that is super cute and quite affordable considering it’s a Japanese brand. The best part is that their stuff isn’t limited to just one kind of style, they have all sorts of designs and are versatile enough to match in many different ways and styles. 🙂
Smir Nasli under Foruchizu has a great houndstooth range too among other styles, and everyone knows houndstooth is trending this year.
The popup store will launch end of November and will extend until early next year. So you have more time to shop! And there will be tons of events and workshops. More details later on my blog and in Vivi Dec issue.
Speaking of ViVi, we did a Foruchizu shoot for ViVi a couple of weeks back. There’s going to be a whole booklet on Foruchizu so exciting!
